Weinformyouasfollowswithregardtothebalanceofbitcoins(BTC)heldbyMtGoxCo.,Ltd.

MtGoxCo.,Ltd.hadcertainoldformatwalletswhichwereusedinthepastandwhich,MtGox
thought,nolongerheldanybitcoins.Followingtheapplicationforcommencementofacivil
rehabilitationproceeding,thesewalletswererescannedandtheirbalanceresearched.OnMarch7,
2014,MtGoxCo.,Ltd.confirmedthatanoldformatwalletwhichwasusedpriortoJune2011helda
balanceofapproximately200,000BTC(199,999.99BTC).MtGoxCo.,Ltd.investigatedthepresenceof
these200,000BTC,immediatelyreportedittoitscounselsintheapplicationforcommencementofa
civilrehabilitationproceedings("counsels").AhearingtookplaceonMarch8whereadetailed
explanationofthesituationwasmadetocounsels.ImmediatelyonMonday(March10),counsels
reportedtheexistenceofthe200,000BTCtotheCourtandtheSupervisor.

Forsecurityreasons,the200,000BTCwhichwereatfirstonthe7thmovedtoonlinewallets
weremovedbetweenthe14thandthe15thtoofflinewallets.Thesebitcoinmovements(includingthe
changeinthemannerinwhichthesebitcoinswerestored)hasbeenreportedtotheCourtandthe
Supervisorbycounsels.
Further,thebitcoinsheldtodaybyMtGoxCo.,Ltd.amounttoatotalofapproximately202,000BTC,
includingtheabove200,000BTCandtheapproximately2,000BTCwhichexistedpriortothe
applicationforcommencementofacivilrehabilitationproceeding.

MtGoxCo.,Ltd.hadpreviouslyreportedaboutthedisappearanceofbitcoinswhichhad
triggeredthisapplicationforcommencementofacivilrehabilitationproceedingthatMtGoxCo.,Ltd.
hadlostalmostalloftheapproximately850,000bitcoinsitheld(approximately750,000BTC
correspondingtothebalanceofbitcoinsbelongingfromusersasseenfromtransactionrecordsaswell
asapproximately100,000BTCbelongingtoMtGox).Takingintoaccounttheexistenceofthe200,000
BTC,thetotalnumberofbitcoinswhichhavedisappearedisthereforeestimatedtobeapproximately
650,000BTC.(Pleasenotethatthereasonsfortheirdisappearanceandtheexactnumberofbitcoins
whichdisappearedisstillunderinvestigationandthattheabovefiguresmaystillchangedepending
ontheresultsoftheinvestigation.)
