After car burglary, Bears rookie c eager for his on-field NFL start

Before his first practice as a Bear on Friday afternoon, Roquan Smith stood at a lectern in the Halas Hall media room with an opening statement. In the two weeks since he was drafted, Smith had gotten a taste of the intense spotlight that will follow him throughout his NFL career.

Last weekend, while back on the University of Georgia campus, Smith's car was burglarized. Among the items stolen were his Georgia helmet, his jerseys from the Rose Bowl and national championship
