THE Tisane OF THE TIMES

“Technically, a herbal tea is called a tisane, an old English word.”

After many years in the health industry, and with a strong addiction to tea, Garrick Hicks and Meaghan Grace of Yarra Valley Tea Company decided it was time to follow their passion and venture into a new career that held tea at its heart.

“Tea is a fascinating product and it really changed the world,” explains Hicks. “The infrastructure and technology that came from tea and its origin in China is something I’ve always been fascinated by. Back then, tea was more expensive and more sought-after than gold. It caused wars that changed the world, it was in such high demand.”
