When making this quilt, Victoria Findlay Wolfe used the curve to give the simple braid technique a powerful twist. Bias is always an issue with curves, and this quilt is no different. Even when taking care to pin the centre and edges, you will still have a stretchy top. The rows help keep it in check, but Victoria advises “… for visual effect, sometimes a quilter has to do what a quilter has to do for a beautiful-looking quilt.”
