About this audiobook

The Baxters is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Roma Downey and Ted McGinley.

A story of unspeakable loss and the overwhelming miracle of new life from Karen Kingsbury, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of “heart-tugging and emotional” (Romantic Times) life-changing fiction, co-authored with Gary Smalley.

A Terrible Tragedy
Brooke and Peter are struggling in their marriage when they are faced with the single worst moment ever. What was supposed to be a pool party for their two daughters and a handful of children ends in disaster. As three-year-old Hayley fights for her life, the Baxter family draws together, not even sure how to pray.

A Shattered Life
Peter is devastated by Hayley’s accident. Unable to see past his own guilt, he distances himself from Brooke and their girls and finds other ways to ease his pain. Illegal ways. Peter’s choices send him spiraling into a cavernous abyss that threatens to destroy not only his relationship with Brooke but also his life.

A Reason to Rejoice
Against the backdrop of great pain and loss, a Baxter wedding takes place in New York City, a wedding that gives all of them a reason to smile again. Now, what will it take for Brooke and Peter and the rest of the Baxters to move past their pain to a place of healing and redemption?

This fourth book in the bestselling Christian fiction series about the Baxter family focuses on Brooke Baxter, who has everything this world has to offer―a prestigious career, a beautiful home, and two wonderful children. Karen Kingsbury wrote the book Rejoice with the help of Gary Smalley. The book is about the Baxter family, who is going through many problems in their life. Their eldest daughter, Brooke, is struggling keeping her marriage going and she almost loses her daughter, Haley. After the accident of Brooke’s daughter her husband, Peter, has a mental break down because he blames himself for it and wants to divorce Brooke. Peter and Brooke come to realize what happened with their relationship and work to get it back together. Peter, Brooke, Haley, and the whole Baxer family are the main characters of this story. The cover of the story shows a picture of a white house with a blue sky and green plants around it. The house looks inviting and cozy. There is also a picture of a lady looking a little distressed. By looking at the cover it gives lots of ideas on what this book could be about but not enough that it gives the book away which I like about it. People should read this book if they enjoy love stories with a mix of sadness put in. Most high school girls would enjoy this book.
