      Fourth times a charm .Last two reads Audible. Love Harper and Brand's incredibly cute,sexy banter and working partnership that lead to love, the just right smidgen of angst,the super hot sexual chemistry and the beautifully romantic conclusion \proposal!

      I really enjoyed this story. She has such a way with dialogue. You feel like you're listening in on real conversations. I really liked both of the characters and enjoyed the smoking hot sex and plot. Loerlei makes reading such an enjoyable pleasure. Unfortunately, I've already read every single one of her books and have to painfully wait for the next one.

      Desperate for a job, Harper Masterson, former beauty queen and nail technician, finds herself working as a hired hand on Bran Turner's cattle ranch. With her strong work ethic and willingness to learn, Harper impresses the skeptical Bran who soon finds himself incapable of resisting Harper's many charms.

      An intriguing premise that has the potential to develop into an entertaining office type romance with numerous conflicts based on Harper's inexperience, Bran's bias and the community's reactions. Unfortunately, what emerges is nothing more than a sex-fest.

      While Harper and Bran's characters and backgrounds are fleshed out well and provide excellent material for an opposites attract or love/hate relationship, this fails to materialize and there is very little development of their romance other than the numerous sex scenes, which ultimately merge one into the other.

      The secondary storylines involving other characters feel like filler in between bouts of sex and it is difficult to care about any of the townsfolk. That said, some of the best scenes are at the local beauty parlor with the local biddies providing minor comic relief with their somewhat raunchy comments and advice. Sadly, this fails to compensate for the lack of story.
      In sum, this is my first Lorelei James novel and I might give another one a try at some time but it isn't a priority.

      Harper, has been stuck in this town raising her teenage sister for more years then she'd liked. Her mother ran off leaving them alone with a terrible reputation thanks to her loose ways. Most of the town folks expect the same of her. She trudges on, working for the day her sister graduates and heads off to college and out of Mud Creek. She can see the finish line it's only months away when she is forced to find a new job. the only job available is with one hard arse good looking cowboy and she has no experience.
      Bran, the hard arsed cowboy, is known for his bachelor ways. He works and keeps to himself. He finds himself swindled into hiring an ex beauty queen to do a ranch hands jobs. While he thinks she damned tasty looking he not going there. They both decide this is business and it will stay that way. it only his body felt the same way. He is impressed with her desire to work hard and they slowly develop a friendship.
      Well now that friendship they've developed it taken a bit further when their bode desires take it up a notch and lust wins. Heavy, hot and with an expiration date the perfect set up for both of them. To bad nothing is that easy, wrenches are thrown into this perfect lust match and the ride gets rough.
      A fun, sexy, light read.

      I listened to the audiobook of this and there's just nothing that really prepares you for erotica on audiobook. The anal scene was --- an experience.

      Do NOT pass on reading Saddled and Spurred if you did not like Corralled as much as you thought you would. Saddled and Spurred is an AWESOME READ!!! I didn't want it to end!!!! LJ has a way of penning emotions so clear, it puts you right there in her books, and not just from the woman's point of view, she clearly gives us what the man is feeling as well. And she always has an ACTUAL story to go along with all the hot sex. This book has it all steam, hot sex, drama, laughs, oh the laughs. LJ has introduced at least 10 more men and 6 more women for HOPEFULLY future stories. I can't wait!!! I love the way Bran describes how they all came to be such close friends.Harper's story touched me on a personal level, my daughter will be going off to college in August and I can so identify with how Harper is feeling about her sister graduating. Harper's story inspired me to start putting myself first once in awhile. LJ's Cowgirl Up And Ride from her Rough Riders series has always been my #1 favorite book ever, well Saddled And Spurred has just nudged it over so it can share my #1 spot.
