About this audiobook
From the Trade Paperback edition.
W Timothy Gallwey
Ever since Timothy Gallwey missed a heartbreakingly easy volley on match point in the National Junior Tennis Championship at the age of fifteen, he has been fascinated with the problem of how human beings interfere with their own ability to achieve and learn. His search for practical ways to overcome the mental obstacles that prevent maximum performance led to the basic discoveries first described in The Inner Game of Tennis, his bestselling classic. Since the completion of The Inner Game of Golf, he spends most of his time in the Los Angeles office of the Inner Games Corporation, developing an Inner Game approach to such diverse fields as selling, management, stress, diet, music and the quality of work.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is wonderful. It’s just as much about life as it is about tennis. It is truly thought-provoking and inspiring to learn about how you think and learn. A must-read!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book, gives you a lot to think about. I’m definitely listening to it again!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Be still, my mind, and start to appreciate the beauty that surrounds you. Do not let the habit of measuring things up encroach on your measuring human worth. You do not have to prove yourself to anybody, including yourself. See things for what they are. Be in the moment. Do not be uptight in self-improvement. Trust thyself, learn to let go. -- A fabulous must-read book.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5SOLDIER’S HEARTHave you ever drank blood out of a river? Charlie, a 16 year old Minnesota volunteer has! The book solders heart is based on a real invent. THE CIVIL WAR!!! This book was good because it had a lot of action and adventure. The point of view for this book is told by Charlie. In the begging Charlie steps up at volunteers for the Union. This is a great book because it keeps your adrenaline flowing. There really is no climax in this book. Is there climax in war or is it all one big problem? It all starts off in chapter 2 when he goes to boot camp. After only 1 day of boot camp he was sick of it.As a 7th grad student I would recommend this book to many students. It talks about good leadership and good teamwork. There is a big meaning of this book. This book was outstanding. Although it was outstanding, if you don’t like gory things then I wouldn’t recommend this book to you. This book is created by Gary Paulsen

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. Though I read it many, many, many years ago, its premise has applied well in tennis, in learning dance choreography, basketball, Tae Kwon Do and even interviewing! It's true, our subconscious sometimes doesn't know the difference between actually doing something and rehearsing in our minds. This is an effective tool and technique applicable in many areas of life. I'm rating from memory, of course, as it has been probably 20 or more years since my first reading of this book, but its premise remains within my arsenal of life techniques and winning strategies.
