      Becky Bloomwood lives in a special world. Her naïveté is part of the attraction to this series. I love reading her adventures through life and the truly unbelievable things she does. She always convinces herself that she is doing something right and for the good of others. Everyone needs a little escapism in their life. These stories make me laugh out loud.

      I would rather stab my eye with a fingernail than read these books, but for some reason, having them read aloud to me in the car by someone with a British accent renders them positively delightful!

      I always forget how much Becky can seem like such a shallow, annoying girl - and then she wins me over again with her good heart and instincts. There are some good things in this novel about the give and take in marriage and also in our family relationships.

      Again the series is getting better, I loved her sister and think her voice of reason and frugality was needed. I also like that even tho Bekcy thought she might of screwed up her husbands biggest client she didnt run away or try to hide it. Maybe shes growing up after all! :)

      Shopaholic is back and I enjoyed the continuing story. Okay, maybe a bit recycled and maybe Becky should really get a reality check and curb the lying -- but, this is a character and a series that you will either enjoy or not. I enjoy.

      As the series progresses, the story and Becky, herself, become more shallower and sillier. Becky Bloomwood must be the most naive, poser, irresponsible, stupid heroine I have met. Her sister was right, she was a spoiled brat. I just wished Kinsella did not make this a series. I hope she just stopped with the first one. I don't know who needs help, Becky Bloomwood or Sophie Kinsella!

      I wasn't expecting to like this much, but found it surprisingly readable, and even quite moving towards the end. The 'Shopaholic', Becky, is very similar to someone I know, which perhaps aided my enjoyment. Well-written, fast paced light reading.

      This was passed on to me by a friend. I think I might have read the first in the series a long time ago, but nothing really seems to have changed. I appreciate that this series is not all about gritty realism, but Becky is so irremediably infantile and is always saved by unlikely strokes of good fortune. Bits of it were very entertaining - Jess on the shopping trip for example - but most of the time I was just infuriated. I'm not sure what Luke and Becky really have in common and I'm not sure what we are expected to make of her empty-headedness. Do we find it endearing? refreshing? brave? worrying?

      I was able to read the Confessions of a Shopaholic years ago and I wasn’t able to finish the other parts after. I’ve always liked the fun, light readings of Sophie Kinsella so I decided to finish her Shopaholic series to give me a positive boost on my “freakish” month. :D It’s nice to delve into feel-good-funny novels once in a while. :D

      I love these books! They're definitely a huge guilty pleasure but I don't care. They're so light and entertaining, which is refreshing. Becky and Luke are just finishing up their year long honeymoon and preparing to go home. Everything doesn't turn out as Becky is imagining though and it's highly amusing to see what she gets up to. Everything in her life is so insanely ridiculous I just can't help but laugh. This one was packed full of adventures and the ending left me longing to read the next one. I really enjoy this series and I'm glad I decided to read it

      I very much enjoy this entire series. They are light, fun, easy reads(i finished each in 2 days). The wit of this book is what I love the most. It is constantly amusing to bear witness to the delusional inner thoughts of Becky Bloomwood as she goes about life in a shopping frenzy. :)

      After reading Shopaholic Ties the Knot, I just knew the next book would be Shopaholic Has a Baby. So I was surprised to learn it was Shopaholic and Sister. Originally the plot sounded funny.... having a sister that doesn't like to shop. But the actual plot was just average. I'm really not sure what to say about this book. It wasn't entirely bad, but wasn't entirely good either. If you've read the other books in the series, I'd say just read this one bcuz Jess may appear again in the follow-up book. However, please just check it out from the library. Or wait until it comes out in paperback. Better yet, buy it in paperback from a used book store.

      I had my doubts about this book, proir to reading it I figured there was going to be some discrepancy on Becky's father. While it was entertaining, it was also very predictable. The begining was actually very funny, I just love how Becky ran after the sales man and the banter Luke gave her afterward was just hilarious. In fact its my favorite scene and often go back to it when I need a good laugh! Funny how some things catches your attention. Becky and Luke return from thier honeymoon only to discover Becky has a sister, her best friend seems to have replace her, and Luke has a great buisnes opportunity. Of course Luke can not go on without some consequence fueled by Becky's weakness. She actually hits rick bottom when her relationships with both Luke and her sister suffers. Her determination to work it out with her sister forces her to leave town, where her disappearance causes Suze and Luke to worry. Luke is away on buisness and returns to settle a PR problem that was organized by non other than Becky. As usual, I love Luke and Becky together. I can not wait to read Shopaholic and Baby

      I loved the first Shopaholic book dearly. It was so fun and smart but the series has devolved into the same thing over and again. The sister character was so unlikeable and Becky became ridiculous and silly on a whole new level. I really did not like this book.

      Gosh… Kinsella never fails to amazed or amused me and lights me up every time with the shopaholic’s series and books. I’m starting to like Becky, though sometimes she gets on my nerve. But somehow i think i can relate to her. In fact, she starts to resemble more like Emma, the protagonist in Can U Keep A Secret?. With her secrets, and hidden, ignorance, naughty thoughts. It’s hillarious, laugh-out-loud and thoroughly enjoyable with her daring experiences, impulsive acts, and moments that’ll bring smile to your face.And we can actually see Becky has grown up a lot through out the series, from the very first book till now, the character matures, although at times still acted stupidly, but hey, she manages it in the end, solves the problem, despite certain rash actions on her side. Sometimes it makes people wishing that even though things might gone wrong at certain point in their life, in the end everything should manage and turn out well. So anyhow, this book is a very enjoyable read, excellent plot and story line, and not to be missed if you’ve followed Shopaholic’s adventures. I’m soo looking forward to reading Shopaholic & Baby next.Points: 8.8 out of 10.(Because of Becky, Luke, Jess, Angel bag and chocolates made out of potatoes.)p/s: oh and plsss don’t try to imagine isla and hugh as becky and luke throughout the book. It’ll ruin your imagination, really. As i said, the movie better off stands on its own.

      Just finished this one and it was delightful. I actually stretched out the reading so it wouldn't be over too quickly. I wasn't fond of the first shopholic book, so I was pleasantly surprised that this one caught me! :)

      This book was a nice quick light read. I was a little shocked at how much money she spent so freely, so I wasn't surprised at all the grief it caused her. And some of what happened to her was a little hard to believe. But I enjoyed it and I liked the characters and I will probably read another one of this series.

      Becky Bloomwood is one of my all-time favorite characters. The prickly situations in which she finds herself in this book only make me love her more. As was the case in the other books in this series, Sophie Kinsella uses the perfect balance of humor and life lesson in Shopaholic & Sister. My favorite part of the whole book is the beginning scene where Becky miraculously learns to walk on hot coals. This sequence is the perfect example of Becky's serious addiction to material items, an obsession that has ruled her life for five novels. In Shopaholic & Sister, Becky realizes that her sister lacks interest in Becky's favorite pastime, and the protagonist must face the fact that they might never be close at all. Overall, this book is a fun, happy read. It would be easy to finish in one afternoon. I look so forward to reading Kinsella's next novel in this series. I hope it is not her last.

      Best book of the series. Finally, Becky grows up (a little). Suze is sick of waiting for Becky and finds a new best friend, her family finds out she has a new half-sister who is WAY more mature and smarter than she is, and she thinks Luke is leaving her. I especially like the relationship between her and Jessica as well as the climax. This book redeemed the series (it took a while, though). I am still waiting to read the next one (Shopaholic & Baby), if my library decides to get a hold of it sometime this decade.

      I don't think this'll survive a third read, but the first and second reads were both enjoyable. Becky is still frustrating, but her adventures are fun nonetheless. A cute book, with a little more depth than the previous volumes in the series.

      Getting tired of the shopaholic - been there done that. How many times must Rebecca get herself into to trouble only to be bailed out by familiy/friends. The character has shown little growth

      I was stuck without a book at the library a few days ago, and this was what I came up with. I've read "Confessions" and "Shopaholic Ties the Knot" before, but really, this is too much. Why would Luke Brandon love Becky? She is constantly immature, sneaky, and deceitful, and I don't really get what goodness overcomes this. I probably wouldn't be so frustrated except that I always have to finish a book once I start it, so I was stuck with it until the end.
