    It's fall in the Sierra Mountains, and Anna Pigeon is slinging hash in Yosemite National Park's historic Ahwahnee Hotel.       With a bit less history and setting background than usual, Nevada Barr delivers a strong storyline, nevertheless. This story, however, is yet another lesson in outdoor survival tactics, minus the eating of bugs. Reading Barr is always an education.
