- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this book, but I wish I would have found it prior to my separation. When it came to my marriage, I was a coward and I admit it. I walked on eggshells everyday, and worried we were going to get in another argument. We had gone through classes together and finally got into marriage counseling. Our counseling sessions were as bad as being at home. I know there is no possibility our marriage can be saved as this was our second attempt. I began praying daily and building my relationship with God. I know I have to forgive myself before I can forgive others. I have been non reactive to her comments that would have set me off in the past. This book though gave me tools that I can take into my next relationship. In the meantime I am going to heal myself.
