      I book I’ve waited to long to enjoy. Bourdain is an amazing storyteller and to hear his book narrated by him just made this much more enjoyable! Such great talent gone way too soon!

      Huge fan of Anthony Bourdain shows - No Reservations, The Layover, and Mind of a Chef. Medium Raw is a great read/listen for an honest account of his life leading up to success. The most enjoyable part is when he goes on tangents about certain foods that are too "mainstream" or ranting about 3 michelin star Alinea not living up to the hype. Definitely worth a listen for any fan of his!

      Not so entertaining as Kitchen Confidential, but always a pleasure to listen to a more mature Bourdain talking his mind.

      Bourdain's dark humor will always have me in stitches no matter the medium. His stories are visceral. I will definitely be trying some of the restaurants mentioned here too!

      Great fun, with interesting anecdotes. Typical Bourdain, not for the easily offended.

      Loved this one, too. Felt more mature than Kitchen Confidential, and there are a lot of mentions of it and it felt like Bourdain wanted to address all the bridges he burnt with what book.
      Favorite chapters:
      Lust (the one about food from different parts of the world and what it's like to write about food like it's porn)
      The Fury (on the cooking's genius kid, raw talent David Chang and a bit on how to decipher his enigma)
      My Aim Is True (on the amazingly talented and hardworking Justo Thomas of Le Bernardin and his insane abilities to process vast amounts of fish in the morning)

      Good look into Boudain's mind very different from kitchen confidential more of a trip through his restaurant "life" into his current place as a food celebrity. loved it!!!!!
