About this audiobook
how elusive it really is. Are you a physical body? A collection of
experiences and memories? A partner to relationships? Each time you consider these aspects of yourself, you realize that there is much more to you than any of these can define. In The Untethered Soul,
spiritual teacher Michael A. Singer explores the question of who we are and arrives at the conclusion that our identity is to be found in our
consciousness, the fact of our ability to observe ourselves, and the world around us. By tapping into traditions of meditation and
mindfulness, Singer shows how the development of consciousness can
enable us all to dwell in the present moment and let go of painful
thoughts and memories that keep us from achieving happiness and
self-realization.The Untethered Soul offers a frank and friendly discussion of consciousness and how we can
develop it. In part one, Singer examines the notion of self and the inner dialogue we all live with. Part two examines the experience of energy as it flows through us and works to show listeners how to open their hearts to the energy of experience that permeates their lives. Ways to overcome tendencies to close down to the rest of the world are the subject of
part three. Enlightenment, the embrace of universal consciousness, is the subject of part four. And finally, in part five, Singer returns to daily life and the pursuit of unconditional happiness. Throughout, the book maintains a light and engaging tone, free from heavy dogma and prescriptive religious references. The easy exercises that figure in each chapter help listeners experience the ideas that Singer presents.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh ! I can read this book thousands times, it’s a beautiful journey with a beautiful flow.
He discussed how we see the world and creating our own world in our mind, also about our inner disturbance and the psychi inside you. How to be conscious as Romana Maharishi said “ who am I”
I loved the part of exploring energy, it’s originated from heart and we can close our heart without noticing which affecting our energy flow that’s why sometimes you lose enthusiasm, Liberation is the key “let it go” to remove all trapped energy (Scara) inside your heart & removing your inner thorn rather than living with it and trying to live your life accordingly. This book will help you to identify your roots of problems instead of seeking for external changes & how to use your mind as it’s not built to solve your inner problems instead it’s used to innovate, create great thoughts, solve scientific problems & serve humanity. To achieve a healthy state of being, stop asking your mind from changing everyone outside or creating the world you want to live instead try to accept and let it go, always remember you are not your body and death can be the best teacher but why you wait for it just start now “live your life to fullest”
Going beyond: we are building our own house or cage and our thoughts and believes are the walls and roof, we don’t see life outside that house and always defending our walls but why ! Life is simple it’s easy just try to seek for the uncomfort and try to hit the edges of the cage or house and explore and be flexible with your thoughts and believes. I loved the simulation and stories mentioned in book and the explanation of consciousness, Tao, and acceptance. This book will teach you how to save your energy and use it via useful way and in the flow not against nature. God is love & Joy, he never judge us and he love us, his love is like the sunlight maybe you chose to live in darkness but whenever you want the light you can find it always radiating from the sun.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Perspective shifting book. The language is easy, understandable, straightforward, simply “human”. So are the themes discussed in the book, yet Singer has a natural talent for phrasing most complex issues in a way that resonates.
Great writing, great content - much recommended.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Inspiring book. Sadly, though, the narrator's voice nearly disappears the end of words, way too often. He goes from a clear voice to a near whisper. I find it annoying. The written book may be better for some people.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed the contents of this book, unfortunately it jumps around all over the place in certain parts. For instance it tried to tell me I was finished when I was only at chapter 14. It also skips ALOT inside the chapters. Very frustrating.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What an illuminating book! I came to this book by searching for the Surrender Experiment, which I didn't find, so I began listening to this one. It's one of the must-listen/must-read books for personal development. I love books that give me a whole new perspective on life, and this is one of those books. Not to spoil it but you will learn how to view your thoughts and emotions as just another object that must only be watched and then let go, not clung to or resisted.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Words are inadequate to explain the immense growth- both human and spiritual. What I saw as complex is not in life. The will of letting go of our own self created prison… the road toward this liberation… so simple, yes. Present awareness and the inner will to live in it - well, I have no words but to say, you are at peace with life, with self, with the universe and all that life presents you with.
I will read again and again and live it too.1 person found this helpful
