About this audiobook
It's easy to blame failures on external circumstances. But the fact of life is, bad things happen to good people. The most successful people didn't get where they are by miraculously avoiding every obstacle in life. They succeeded by mastering a Prosperity Mindset that prepared them to overcome challenges and thrive in the face of adversity-consistently.
The Power of Consistencyis based on the fundamental premise that private declarations dictate future actions. In other words, we tend to take actions with the thoughts and beliefs we consistently have, and the cumulative results of those actions eventually create the quality and circumstances of our lives and businesses. Therefore, transformative change in life and business is possible when we reconstruct our minds and take responsibility for its content.
The Power of Consistency lays out the Personal Prosperity Plan, a simple process to create meaningful results by unleashing the power of focus and your subconscious mind. Taking you step by step through the FEAR process-focus, emotional connection, action, and responsibility-this book will teach you:
How to get focused on what you want
How to become deeply emotionally committed to achieving your goals
The value of a Quiet-Time ritual
How to take consistent action toward reaching your goals
How to take responsibility for the decisions that define you when faced with the inevitable challenges in business
You'll find that your life reflects your thoughts and the words you repeat to yourself. Wealth, happiness, and peace of mind are well within your reach. Manifest a Prosperity Mindset, and let that mindset drive you to become exceptional. With The Power of Consistency, the possibilities for your life and your business will become endless.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Found Mr. Long’s personal story inspiring and helps to put your life in perspective. The ideas are simple and doable, all a matter of being consistent with the actions you need to take to get what you want. As he says, if he could do it so can you. Well worth the read and now I’m going to go take some action.

High school drop out, a robber, 13 years total of prison, 6 months of consistent high hopes then no's to shut them down, then 5 years into starting his own company generated $20 MILLION DOLLARS in sales and listed as one of the fastest growing companies ? everyone needs to hear this story.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Your thoughts dictate actions. So simple but so true. Loved the emphasis on the Reticular Activating System, Quiet Time Rituals, Understanding what is in your mental 'Box'., plus Weldon's inspirational story and nods to influences such as Tony Robbins, Steven Covey and Napoleon Hill. A great practical guide with excellent steps to take action on.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5There are sooo many things that resonate with me and with the person that I want to become.
It’s focused on taking action and it’s a mix of authors and lessons that I like.
Here is a list of lessons that I learned from different authors:
I think that in self development we all have a particular focus, mine was “building discipline” and consistency is definitely a part of discipline.
If you are into building discipline and (daily) habits, it’s a must read.
I put this book on the second place on my “books to read again”, after Think and grow rich.
Some of my notes, most of them are not new, but it’s a good reminder to act on them:
- Having a (morning) ritual, aka quiet time
- Be consistent
- Align your actions with your goals
- You become what you think about, all day
- Thought leads to feeling, which leads to action
- Reticular Activating System
- Making the actions your second nature. Doing something for 25-30 days to make it a habit. I have created a mobile app about this (Habitus 30-day challenges) that’s how much I love this method of building habits
- Don’t wait for the perfect situation, just act
- The confused mind says “no”
- Nothing happens until you make a sale
- 80/20
