About this audiobook
The Future Is In Your Hands
Faith Popcorn has seen it coming -- and now she tells you how to profit from the enormous transformation that will sweep mainstream America in the coming years. The founder of BrainReserve, the top-dollar trend-spotter for the nation's biggest blue-chip companies, Popcorn now shares her vision of the future for anyone who wants an early look at the products we'll buy (and sell), the careers we'll choose and the lives we'll lead in the coming years.
Popcorn, who predicted the fall of New Coke, the rise of cocooning and the return to decency, sees the 1990s as "the shakeup decade" -- a time when we will act upon a growing desire to fix our lives and the world. She offers ten trends that will characterize this change, including:
Down-Aging: A second adolescence for our aging population
Cashing Out: The move away from the rate race and back to ourselves
S.O.S.: Saving our Society -- and our world.
The future is a serious business -- for your company, your family, and your own sense of well being -- and it's scarier than ever before. Don't worry: The Popcorn Report, an upbeat, inspiring, insider's guide to the future, will help you transform your fear into hope, and show you how to turn the uncertainties of today into the opportunities of tomorrow.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5THE biz-buzz of the 90s. It was a classic in its field, which it helped describe: Business books that have a pop-culture edge. I don't know if it would hold up to a re-read 18 years on, but it's a resource now instead of a practical guide.
