      I admit that had I known this was Christian fiction I probably wouldn't have picked it up. That just isn't my perspective. Frankly, this was a great mystery novel and lots of fun to read. The main character, Paige, works as a small town librarian but that is a cover for her previous life. When her two worlds come together, she has to figure out how to survive (literally!) as well as make peace with her choices. Fast paced and intriguing. I only gave it 3 stars because the religious mini-lectures interrupted and, as I said earlier, are just not my perspective. However, if you like a fun read with well-developed characters, I wouldn't let that stop you from reading Breach of Trust.

      This book was very interesting and better then I thought it would be. Paige/Mikaela's life as a CIA operative was interesting to say the lest. A few other people complained how they felt GOD was being pushed on them as it was mentioned a lot in the book. I however disagree as faith has come into play with a lot of people and the work they do. How would you be if you were a CIA agent with some of the things you were asked to do where would your faith lie? The book if great, the characters were believable and had surprise twists.

      I enjoyed this story about Paige Rogers, a small-town librarian hiding her past as an ex-CIA operative. It was a little unbelievable at times, but it was a good story with good characters. I liked the budding romance between Paige and the town's high school football coach. It was a fun storyline. He was very easy to like.

      This book started slow but quickly grabbed my attention. The only problem I had with it was that it switches from third person to first person. When Daniel Keary is speaking, it is first person, the rest is third person. But all in all it is a great book.Paige is a librarian in the small town of Split Creek, Oklahoma. Only all is not as it seems. Paige used to have another name and another life. She was once a CIA operative. Daniel Keary is running for Gov. of Oklahoma but has his eyes on the White House. No one knows that he is a traitor to his country but Paige and two other people, who are now in hiding. Keary has blackmailed Paige with threats to her family. She has her living and working in the small Oklahoma town so he can keep tabs on her. But Paige is bound and determined to show Oklahoma and the world the true side of Keary but obstacles stand in her way, one of them being she has fallen in love.

      I wanted to like this novel more than I did. However, her integration of Christian elements were preachy rather than natural, and the romance did not build throughout the story, but rather sprung up all of a sudden at the end. The CIA and suspense elements were entertaining, but somewhat predictable. Overall, somewhat lacking compared to other authors in this genre.

      Fabulous. Absolutely love it. Best ever. This was a wonderful read. With my Alias addiction, this story felt familiar, yet was all at the same time unique and new. I am so pumped about this new Call of Duty Series from DiAnn Mills that I am extremely doubtful I will be able to stand the wait until 2010 for book #2. We have action and adventure with tons of espionage. There are the CSI operatives, and counter-operatives. Good guys and bad. And then of course, there is the theme of how the everyday life works Jesus right in. Fully a page turner, edge of your seat book. I could not find out what would happen next fast enough. I did see the bad guy early on, but I claim that to be my ultimate spy skills showing through. *grin* I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It is good for anyone who enjoys shows such as Alias or 24, movies like Breach, Shooter, or others. If you read and enjoyed anything by Jill Elizabeth Nelson or Melanie Wells, you will absolutely LOVE this book and I am sure the entire series as well. Give me more!!!

      Because of DiAnn Mills, I need botox! Almost every chapter had me raising my eyebrows, causing my forehead to wrinkle. This is one Christian fiction I enjoyed reading page after page.The characters are believable, the plot is fast paced, and the ending ties up neatly. There's plenty of suspense with the protagonist, Paige Rogers, a CIA operative in hiding and a campaign for governor taking place. Thrown into the mix is high school football coach, Miles Laird, who plays a wanna-be lover.However, I find fault when Ty Dalton, a man with only one redeeming quality--that of pride in his son--does not bother to go to the hospital to visit that injured son. That move is out of character for Ty, making his character flatter than necessary.Written in third person narrative, the reader easily follows the thought process of each character. To heighten the drama, antagonist chapters are written in first person narrative and printed with a different font. Even though this is book one in a series, it is a stand-alone novel. I say, well done! Discussion questions are included.

      Author DiAnn Mills treats readers to a suspense-filled read with her newest book, Breach of Trust, due out in March 2009.The story's heroine, Paige Rogers, is an ex-CIA operative, who has gone into hiding in a small town in Oklahoma. To protect her family and loved ones, she has even faked her death and changed her identity.As the town's librarian, she thinks she has the perfect cover, until her former boss, Daniel Keary, finds her and threatens her if she doesn't cooperate with him. To make matters worse, he's on track to become the next governor of Oklahoma.The hero of the story is Miles Laird, the high school football coach. He doesn't hide his interest in Paige, but she keeps him at a distance because of her hidden past and threatening future. Dangerous circumstances bring them together in a breathless race to save the life of a child.This wonderful story is one you won't want to miss. Here a few things I particularly enjoyed about Breach of Trust:~Believable Characters - The author made a pistol-packing librarian seem like she lived next door. Paige Davis is realistically portrayed as both a professional secret agent and a small-town bookworm. Miles Laird is a godly man who cares about Paige and his students, and will do what is necessary to protect them all. The character of Daniel Keary is extremely well-drawn, and the reader is actually pulled inside his thoughts by a point-of-view technique (see the next point).~POV Technique - DiAnn Mills made a brilliant move by writing most of the story in traditional third-person, but using first-person for the character of Daniel Keary. This technique lets us inside the twisted mind of the antagonist. Fascinating!~Plot Twists Galore! - The making of a great suspense read is found in plot points that the reader doesn't expect. Mills pulls this off with superb mastery.If you're on the lookout for the unexpected, the dangerous, and the suspenseful, don't miss out on reading Breach of Trust by DiAnn Mills!
