About this audiobook
Explore the mind of an assassin in R.A. Salvatore’s exciting conclusion to The Sellswords Trilogy!
THE ASSASSIN
A cold and emotionless killer for whom every soul has a price, even his own, embarks on a path to find out just how high that price can be.
THE MERCENARY
A dark elf of limitless guile dares to challenge a king, and carve for himself a place in the inhospitable World Above.
ILNEZHARATA and TAZMIKELLA are ancient dragons of great power, accustomed to easily manipulating the humans around them. But not all humans are so easily led. When they pushed Entreri and Jarlaxle into the heart of the Bloodstone Lands, not even they could have imagined the strength of the human assassin’s resolve, or the limitless expanse of the drow mercenary’s ambition.
R. A. Salvatore
Over three decades ago, R. A. Salvatore created the character of Drizzt Do’Urden, the dark elf who has withstood the test of time to stand today as an icon in the fantasy genre. With his work in the Forgotten Realms, the Crimson Shadow, the DemonWars Saga, and other series, Salvatore has sold more than thirty million books worldwide and has appeared on the New York Times bestseller list more than two dozen times. He considers writing to be his personal journey, but still, he’s quite pleased that so many are walking the road beside him! R.A. lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Diane, and their two dogs, Dexter and Pikel. He still plays softball for his team, Clan Battlehammer, and enjoys his weekly DemonWars: Reformation RPG and Dungeons & Dragons 5e games.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I've always found Artemis Entreri to be a fascinating character, even more so than Drizzt, so this story is right up my alley.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5For me personally I thought this was one of Salvatore's best. I have always loved both Jarlaxle and Artemis even when they were bad guys and now that he is developing their story lines I think it is some of his best work. Can not wait to see where he takes these characters in further stories.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book follows Servant of the Shard and Promise of the Witch King in R.A. Salvatore's Sellswords trilogy. Although not his strongest work, fans of Salvatore will appreciate the back stories revealed in this novel for Artemis Entreri and the dark elf Jarlaxle, two of Salvatore's beloved yet morally ambiguous characters. As always, Salvatore's adventure tales are enriched by his introspective prose challenging the reader to think more deeply about the dilemnas faced by his heroes and anti-heroes alike.
