About this audiobook

Haunted by painful memories, pediatric surgeon Sage Anderson gives up medicine and moves to Eternity Springs. There she finds a place to call home, but even her newfound success as a gifted artist isn't enough to keep her nightmares at bay. Colt Rafferty is about to change all that.

Eternity Springs is a refuge for Colt, a place to ground himself when the stress of investigating tragedies takes its toll. He has come here for a little R & R, but instead of relaxing, he finds himself fascinated by the mysterious redhead whose secrets beg to be discovered-a beauty running from her past, a heartsick woman in desperate need of the sweet sanctuary of a devoted man's embrace. And he is just the man to show her the true path to peace-by offering her the healing power of love.

The basic plot of this story was revealing the tragic event in heroine's past and while it was terrible the unfolding grew old. I did like the hero's sensitivity and steadfast pursuit of a relationship. Taking a forced vacation, Colt rents a place next door to artist Sage and he is instantly attracted to her.

A new romance small town series...Eternity Springs, well, new to me. Sage Anderson is haunted by her past, and hunk Colt Rafferty is just the romantic interest to turn things around. Well written (in the romance style0 and with some more than average plot development

What I especially like about THIS one is that this small town was floundering to stay afloat until a local came up with an idea to create a relaxing place to get away from it all which occurred in book one, Angel’s Rest. Now, in book two, the town is getting ready for the business’ grand opening which brings the artist who created their fantastic sign to town – and the fun begins!Anyone that has moved to escape from painful memories knows that the memories travel with you and that the new location will only help with healing over time. This is the lesson that Sage learns and why I so identified with her character. She has insomnia and paints stark, vivid pictures when awoken from her horrid dreams. When she finds herself in a situation that requires using her hidden medical skills to help a friend, she does. Then, she promptly walks outside and gets sick. She doesn’t want to be attracted to Colt Rafferty, who doesn’t want to stay in town, yet is. He’s dealing with his own issues of being in a small town setting – it settles him but also causes him to question everything he knows. She doesn’t want him to see her real paintings, so hides behind paintings of fairies and lightness. He looks at her paintings and can’t figure out what the heck she’s thinking – fairies? He knows she has more substance than painting fairies and tells her so. He’s persistent and always in her way, over and over. When her friends try to help her, she hurts them and turns them all away and retreats far into herself. Not only is Sage trying to heal herself inside, but now she has mending to do on the outside too. I so enjoyed the banter between these two characters and watching them circle around each other most of the book as they sorted out their feelings for each other. I also enjoyed the glimpses into the other characters that I’ve come to know and love in Eternity Springs. Another read that I simply did not put down until I finished it!By the end of book one, I already wanted to move to Eternity Springs. Now, after book two, I feel like I live there. Emily March had breathed new life into her writing and it shows in every chapter.

This is the second in a new trilogy by Emily March(Geralyn Dawson), Eternity Springs. If you like Robyn Carr's books, you will love this series. It has such heart, and great multi-dimensional characters, wounded spirits coming to a special town and finding healing in the most poignant, redemming ways. This series should be a lot more than three books. It's just too good to end.
