The honeymoon is over, now the murders can begin. America's #1 thriller writer returns with his sexiest, scariest novel ever. Hotter than The Beach House and scarier than Kiss the Girls, James Patterson's explosive new thriller introduces a bride who is beautiful, talented, devoted, and deadly. When a young investment banker dies of baffling causes, FBI agent John O'Hara immediately suspects the only witness, the banker's alluring and mysterious fiance. Nora Sinclair is a beautiful decorator who expects the best, and will do anything to get it. Agent O'Hara keeps closing in, but the stronger his case, the less he knows whether he's pursuing justice or his own fatal obsession. In a novel so compelling it reads like a collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock, James Patterson unveils surprise after surprise that will keep readers guessing until the last deadly kiss.

I went through this book quickly, because it is an easy read. There are positives in the book. For one, he hooks you, and draws you in well. This makes you want to keep reading, and I did. Then, there are storylines that seem confusing, and there are loose ends (the terrorist funding stuff) that just don't fit in, and seem as if they were forced into the book just because terrorism is the flavour of the day. The characters, yes, are cliched, and the main protagonist - Nora - seems to be too intelligent, beautiful, sexy, rich to be true. The same goes for the male protagonist. The end does not seem to be well done at all, and seems to have been slapped together. Will I buy another book? Unlikely. Does James Patterson know how to write a bestseller? Yes!

A good exciting mystery. With the audio book it took me a while to get use to how different the two narrators were. The man's voice was lower, softer, more hushed tone. But I got use to it.The one twist at the end didn't surprise me.

James Patterson's newest co authored novel, Honeymoon, one of the main characters is often heard saying to himself that "things aren't always the way they appear." And as the book Honeymoon unfolds these words couldn't be truer. In this roller coaster read of a novel written by a master of suspense and co authored by Howard Roughan, readers are witness to a black widow, Nora Sinclair who masterminds the demise of three wealthy men. When an FBI agent is hot on her trail to prove her guilt. he finds himself unfortunately also caught in her web.

It's not a bad novel but there are so problems with it. I guess the one major thing that I didn't like about this book was that the first chapter is set way ahead in the future to most of the rest of the book so it gives away what will happen later and you are just hoping that scene will hurry up so you will have some mystery left. I gave it 3 stars, but it's more like 2.5

Nora is beautiful. Nora is rich. Nora would like to marry you. Nora will kill you.As a young girl, Nora watched her abused mother shoot her father dead. This led to a life-long grudge against all men. Blessed with a fantastic array of feminine attributes -- including being really smart, she has no problem targeting wealthy men. While the FBI seems to catch on early, leading to quite an interesting, deceptive investigation on their part, it's hard to believe she could have struck twice without a more intense scrutiny. Other than that, we have a tense, fast moving thriller; the reason to read Patterson in the first place.

i really enjoyed this book. it was a light fast read. it was a combination of fbi/serial killer/political. the only reason it didn't get more star was due to the fact they didn't really clear up the political part. they just used it for an ending cincher. i new the ending (at least her) by the last chapter or so but it kept going. i wasn't totally satisfied with the division and/or relationship with nora and o'hara. all others were so thorough and well done and you got what he was doing and what was going on but compared to the others, it just didn't hold up well. it just wasn't enough. i would have prefered it was done as well as the others and been longer, but i guess you can't have it all. oh and the damn letter, that would have been a great way to end. a way for closure with nora, instead it just left you. if that's what was intended then so be it, i would have prefered more. still worth the read though.

There's a fair amount of intrigue and suspense to be had within the pages of this Patterson & Co thriller. It's a tired plot although the pace and rapid twists and turns compensate somewhat. Patterson fans will know exactly what to expect and shouldn't be disappointed whereas readers looking for clever and well constructed crime fiction may find this rather amateurish. Far from his best work, Honeymoon starts far better than it finishes and although is an easy and entertaining read, it's not a memorable entry in the Patterson library.

Right up front I'll say that this is one of James Patterson's better books. Honeymoon was both horrifying and intriguing. While I wanted to know a little more about what drove Nora to be the way she was, I was still satisfied with the ending. The story begins with Nora juggling a husband and fiance. Through crafty computer skills and a little bit of luck, she manages to get wealthy off of these men, which in turns makes them expendable. Nora has little regret as she ends their lives. The story is also told from the perspective of John O'Hara, an FBI agent who is suspicious of Nora. Despite his job and his knowledge of the woman, he becomes too close. I liked both the characters! I know I'm not supposed to like a murderer but she was so matter of fact about it all. I couldn't help but want to know what she would do next. John was smart and sarcastic, which to me means he was quite lovable. It was a quick and easy read that kept me reading to the end.

Suspenseful murder mystery with a few unexpected twists and more expected ones. Interesting characters and just enough psychology to show some depth. It was the perfect book to have on hand at 1 in the morning on a stormy night.

This book was my least favorite Patterson co-write to date. I felt that the story lacked originality and had been done many times before. The story is about Nora Sinclair a beautiful and deadly black widow. She killed her first husband, who was a cardiologist, then she killed her fiance and drained both mens off shore bank accounts. This fact is what alerted the FBI to her crimes. Enter John O'Hara an FBI agent trying to tie the crimes to this woman before she kills her next husband/finance but he finds himself drawn physically to Nora. There is another side story going on that ties the two together but if I go into any other detail it was spoil it for the next reader. This was definitely a fast but light read perfect for the beach or mindless entertainment if you don't mind the been there done that aspect of the story.

This is an excellent book. I loved the writer's style. This is the first romantic thriller I read. It contains alot of twist and turns and it is almost impossible to predict how the events will turn out to be. After reading this book I am interested in reading more from the author's list of best-selling novels.

Another quick beach read. I don't see what Roughan brought to the table. I didn't see anything that deviated from Patterson's normal formula. Also, I think Patterson passed up the chance to put in some interesting technical detail. If he had the story would have been a lot more interesting. And why was the letter from Olivia to Nora never revealed? Now that was a real opportunity missed.

Patterson releases who the killer is in the beginning of this book so a bit of the mystery is gone. However, I enjoyed reading from the killer's perspective as well as from the one solving the crime. Part of the ending is interesting because you don't have it figured out, Then part of the ending is just too brief & quick leaving it hard to beleive would happen. Still a big fan of Patterson and it did hold my attention.

heard this on cd and it was expertly performed by a male and female who made the story very interesting. Is Nora sinclair killing her husbands for their money? Is john o'hara going to leave everyone for her or solve the case? Well done.

realised some 160 pages into it that I'd read this book two years ago in 2006. I didn't remember the ending so I kept going. Two years later, I still don't understand "The Tourist" but it's a typical Patterson fast read.

I thought this story about a high class black widow could have been much better. The book does have the traditionally short chapters which makes it a quick read, but I felt too much was left out as far as character development. In addition, there is a subplot involving the FBI which I also think was kind of just thrown in there. I hate to say, this story left me rather disappointed and wanting more.

Not a bad thriller. Parts of it reminded me of a classic P.I. novel, parts of it were just plain, eye-rolling corny, but overall it was a fast-paced, interesting read.

This was an enjoyable read. Nora was just TOO over-the-top to be real; but FBI Agent John O'Hara was a great character--very human and flawed. There were a few interesting twists and turns about Agent O'Hara's family. Good read.

Finally a Patterson book that made me remember why I'm such a fan! The last ones I read were really bad... maybe because now he writes 3/4 books a year and with partners??Anyway, this was a fine thriller, full of big and little twists and surprises. The book is difficult to put down and we just read it in a flash!

This was my first and most likely my last Patterson book. First off, I want to start by saying that this book is mildly entertaining, as in, I want to read something that will not give me much thought, nor will it keep my interest beyond putting it down. This book is an EXTREMELY fast read. I finished it in two sittings. Mainly because it has about 80 chapters that are one page each, which makes the 350+ paged book really only about 100 with so many BLANK pages or half filled pages. The plot is extremely cliched. Murderous woman makes lots of guys fall in love with her, then she kills them and takes their money. FBI Agent goes undercover to nab her but falls for her. Or does he? Or doesn't he? Honestly, I could care less!!
