About this audiobook

In this novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling In Death series, Lieutenant Eve Dallas faces a serial killer who offers his victims eternal youth by taking their life...

After a tip from a reporter, Eve Dallas finds the body of a young woman in a Delancey street dumpster. Just hours before, the news station had mysteriously received a portfolio of professional portraits of the woman. The photos seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary for any pretty young woman starting a modeling career. Except that she wasn't a model. And that these photos were taken after she had been murdered.

Now Dallas is on the trail of a killer who's a perfectionist and an artist. He carefully observes and records his victim's every move. And he has a mission: to own every beautiful young woman's innocence, to capture her youth and vitality—in one fateful shot...

Well it has been one great and interesting enough reading experience with lots of emotionally feels for this detectives and her family members who has been very loving as they can be. Knowing each other limits at any time.

But yet loving them still Roarke did not want to get Eva involved because he is thinking that he had to killed someone who had a hand in the killing of his mother.

After believing onething all his life only him to come to learn the truth about who was his mother's and he discovered that he had entire family he did not know about.

His world has been changed for good now he has more family members who loved him without any reason. For Eve she had another killer who has taken three innocent victims life and was about to take the fourth who is a police officer and he was stopped but this killerbhas lost the sense of reality. Making it difficult for him to be send to prison but to the psychiatrist prison for mental illness.

Of all the In Death books I have read so far (18 now including the two short stories), Portrait in Death is my current favorite. It was heartwarming with Rouke finally learned the truth about his real mother, and meeting the rest of his relatives in Ireland. I shed a tear upon reading Crack's reaction towards his beloved younger sister's death. I can't wait for the rest of the series!
