About this audiobook

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.…

From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside—so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.

No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession.…

What a page turner! Solid performance by Jill Redfield - Excellent narration of all the characters through all of the ups and downs. This story is jam-packed with drama - too much drama for me, but that is just me personally. I don't think it is too much for most readers. I'm really glad I tackled this series with enough heat to burn NY to the ground!

I liked this book, it just fell a little short from it's predecessors. I felt like the last half of the book was a lot better than the first. It just seemed to ramble on. Not that I'm minding... but it gets a little bit old when the story is lacking. I read that this was supposed to be a three book series, then Mrs. Day switched it to a five! So maybe this book just had the "filler book" curse.

I love the store but idk what it is with this audio or the 2 before it but they skip and I haven’t been able to finish the books cause it jumps chapters. Be nice if someone would fix it.

Magical! I wish I could find someone who loves me so much that they'd do anything to be with me and I felt the same exact way about them! Entwined with You is full of steamy sex, and is a twisty tale of love that will leave you wanting for more.

I didn’t like this one as much as the others, really slow but had its moments. Ava was a bit selfish toward Cary in this one, assumed he would be okay with too many things, which he does confront her about but also not enough.

Amazing book. I love how their relationship turns out and I cannot wait to read the next book. I'm kind of hoping for a baby for them but I have to see. I think this is the best book in the series so far.

More like 2.5 -- I realize that most people only read these books for the sex, but there is such a think as too many pages of sex in one book. Was also pretty pissed about how it just ended like Day was mid-thought, and thought was - "Huh, I should chop this book right here so I can continue the series." It wasn't a welcomed surprise. Just wanted to know how the assumed trilogy would wrap up! Also, not enough story outside of the sex.

Better than book #2, their relationship was a bit more stable and less of a yoyo. Still not impressed with either character, they're all ridiculous children.

This was a lot less worse than the previous book. Here we actually see that Eva has a spine and she can decide and decide things for herself. Though, how can someone have so many inane problems at once? Reading this is almost like reading a soap opera script.

Entwined with you by Sylvia Day and Jill RedfieldHave read other works by the author and enjoyed them. This one has a lot more sex than storyline. It's on fire throughout the book. Ava and Gideon are together and at times it's like reading 50 shades, very erotic, very detailed.Like storyline but the sex gets in the way too often. They both work in NY and her father finds out about a past incident that her mother had tried to keep from the ex husband-Ava's father. It comes to light now and others are on her tail so that part of the book is interesting as we find out more details and what is being done to safeguard her.Wow surprising ending....I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Wow! Sylvia Day did it again... 5 stars from me.

The love story continues right where book two left off. Gideon is in a predicament, forcing his and Eva's relationship to be kept a secret. They cannot stand to be apart from one another, so he decides to become her next door neighbor. After time passes and struggles are dealt with... they can finally reveal their big news.

The love in this book is breathtaking, the romance is sexy as hell, and the progress they make in their relationship is huge! I love how the Author keeps things fresh. The way she throws in characters and adds to the suspense is fabulous. I could not ask for a better book. I am infatuated with Gideon and have been since page one of book one. I could only hope book 4 will be released soon... Because I honestly cannot wait to see where Sylvia takes Gideon and Eva!~

And just when I thought that this series couldn't get more ridiculous, this book comes along!Look, I will say that the series is readable. I mean, the romance between Gideon and Eva is so much like an unhealthy trainwreck that I roll my eyes until I'm practically dizzy, and yet I still keep reading. I suppose I just want to see how bad things get - and believe me, just when you think that you've hit the bottom, the author proves you wrong!Gideon killed Nathan Barker, Eva's former step-brother who was responsible for repeatedly raping her when she was young, because he was trying to blackmail and/or hurt her. Gideon made a huge, elaborate, ridiculous "cover story" for them to prove that he would have no motive to kill Nathan by "breaking up with" Eva. And now they're trying to pretend that they are still broken up, although it is painfully obvious to anyone who remotely pays attention to Eva that she's still with Gideon. But everyone except Cary is apparently blind to this. And then they get together super quick and no one bats an eye. Okay then.I have some major problems with Gideon. He was raped as a child, so he wants to have control in almost everything now, so I sort of understand that. But Eva was also raped as a child, and she's just letting him run roughshod all over her. There's an instance, for example, where Gideon has some restraints custom-made for Eva and doesn't tell her anything about it. Eva says, in her mind, that she doesn't like being restrained in sex, and she's only allowed Gideon to do that, and only with his hands and his body. But she just goes along with the whole restraint thing because it's what Gideon wants. That is so freaking unhealthy for her. I know she wants to "help" and "heal" him, but she's ignoring her own issues in the process, and that's just not good. They also tie the knot unexpectedly, and secretly, while on a weekend getaway. Eva tells Gideon the entire book that she's not ready - and let's be real, they have only been together, what, a few months? Maybe four or five at the most? And he still pushes her into marriage, which really felt like bullying on his part, and told her that he would have kept her there until she'd agreed anyway. Oh, cool, Eva's new husband is already making veiled threats at kidnapping her. People could argue that he's just "teasing," but I think we all know that he's NOT, plus he killed a guy already in cold blood, so who knows what depths this man would be capable of if he felt so inclined? Honestly, I can't tell if this book is more ridiculous or terrifying. And all of the threads introduced in the end, just to squeeze two more books out of this franchise...bleh. If I felt like there was an actual story to be told here, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but it just feels like more of a money grab to me because the "trilogy" is so popular. And I will still keep reading, because I'm a masochist like that!

In all honesty, I 100% prefer Fifty Shades of Grey to this series but as a bookaholic I can't let go without seeing how it all would end especially that now the last book ended in murder.

Eva makes me tired, she is way too physically, she doesn't eat; she only have sex, work, drink or work out.

Eva and Gideon's relationship is intense, but I can't relate to it. For some reason, I can't feel the realness of them and their feelings.

In all honestly my favorite couple are Eva's parents.

"If souls could be mated with wishes, ours would be inextricably entwined."

This book wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It was more about the connection between Eva and Gideon than anything. And boy, do we get the point after this book. Their need for one another is almost over-whelming. It is all-consuming. The connection these two share is none like any other story out there. The book is definitely well-written. We can feel much of what they feel throughout the book.

"We'd mistaken our ferocious mutual captivation for lust until we realized we couldn't breathe without each other."

At some point, one has to say enough is enough, you would think. At first thought, I did think that. But one I got to the end of the book, I was reeling with more consuming thoughts on the need these two share. They are the rocks the hold each other down. They are connected in ways that almost teeters to an unhealthy bind... One could see their need, which they call love, as being unhealthy. However, you can look at it as being open and honest with all feelings they both have. They don't deny any emotion, positive or negative.

"Cary was my touchstone, my voice of reason, my favorite shoulder to lean on--and a brother to me in every way that mattered."

Connections with all of the other characters in this story become deeper. More secrets all of the way around start to trickle out. Don't think this book is just about Eva and Gideon. It's not. There are secrets involving everyone is this story. We get some. Some, obviously will be coming in the future, and I have a feeling they will be earth-shattering when they do. Many seem to be upset about this... The trilogy being turned into a series. But, I have to admit, with everything that happens in this book, I am not disappointed in the fact that there will be another book. A lot happens in this book, with many questions still unanswered and more questions that need answering.

Be prepared for some shocking events in this book. Some will leave you giddy. Although, I was happy for some of the big things in this book, I wish they were done a little differently. However, I am not the author, so that is not my call to make. Just be warned, this book will make you both mad and happy at the same time. There are some truly sappy parts, which aren't expected, but I welcomed them nonetheless.

"For all his polished urbanity, Gideon was an untamed animal behind closed doors, a lover who bared me to the soul every time he mad love to me."

The third instalment of the Crossfire series was, essentially, about nothing at all. Reading Entwined with You I was still completely sure that is was the final book of the trilogy, and as an ending to a beautifully emotional story it completely sucked. Reading the last two chapters I thought: "No way everything will be wrapped up in such a short period", and after closing the book and reading the Afterword I figured that more books are planned. I was really looking forward to this being the last one (Fifty Shades of Grey pulled off the trilogy thing wonderfully) - though, honestly, I was not 100% comfortable saying goodbye to this particular story. Yes, most of the third book was pointless and way too cheesy for nowadays, I can only hope that the 4th and the 5th book will focus more on things that matter! I really look forward to the next book, even though I rated this one as only Ok. Entwined with You is full of emotions, raw passion, completely understandable fear of commitment, marriage, and future; full of sex, attraction, jealousy, and friendship. It is a wonderful read that talks about dark and twisted things in a light manner. I love looking forward to more.

There was not a clear plot or character growth; this book felt more like a filler than a development in the story.
Gideon and Eva are still the same insecure and broken characters we met in book 1 dealing with the same issues. Their neediness and dysfunctionality is getting boring.

OK, now I just have to admit. Amazon suggested me this book when I searched for Fifty shades. Oh my curiosity.
    Shouldn't have done that.
Really huge mistake to start reading this books (Crossfire series).
Why? Because it is boring, dull, and definitely should be sued as a copy of Fifty Shades without mentioning it on the cover. Really, it is just the same, with some little differences.
    Don't do it!

But I was really bummed to find out this wasn't the last book, I flew through this book hoping for a perfect ending.
I guess the positive side is we get to see more of them ! I'm totally in love with this serie !

This review has been really hard for me to start. I am so conflicted about how I feel about this book. Ok, maybe that’s not true. I think what is more true is that I don’t want to have my feelings about this book taint how I feel about the series on the whole, if that makes sense.

First of all: There has been a ton of hoopla about people being upset by the Crossfire “trilogy” suddenly becoming a 5-book series. Me? I don’t really care. However, I do think that decision affected this book and probably lowered it’s plot quality. I will get into that in a minute. Back to the whole 3-book vs. 5-book thing. I see why people were upset. People pre-ordered this book MONTHS ago (how long has the wait been for this book??? ) thinking it would be the end of the story for Gideon and Eva. They would get their HEA and all would be beautiful. Only to find out in many cases after they had the book that they would have to buy two more books (at a cost of $10 each) to get what they were expecting in that book. Like I said, if the books are well written and entertaining, that doesn’t bother me, but I can totally see why people are pissed about it.

    On to the book itself.

There was something missing. I can’t totally put my finger on it. There were some pretty major things that happened that I felt didn’t get the attention they deserved. Instead we got sex Lots and lots of sex. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for sexy time. Especially with my man Gideon. But in this book, it seemed gratuitous. It felt like major plot lines were glossed over in favor of more sex. The story was missing and it seemed to reduce the relationship between Eva and Gideon to a purely sexual one. I think that did a disservice to their characters. They are more than that.

Speaking of characters, I was majorly disappointed in Eva this go round. Honestly, it seemed like all she did was fight against Gideon and then want to screw him. She was like a cat in heat and all she could think about what her next lay. Where was the person? She was all sex! And her decision making skills…what the hell? I wanted to shake her and tell her to wake the hell up.

Then there were the secondary characters. Megumi seemed to come up ALL the time…but I am not sure why? What was the deal? Does she factor into a future book somehow? I never really understood why Eva was always talking about her and why there was a big deal made about what was going on with her. And Eva’s parents, why did that need to happen? There seemed to be a lot of “filler” by discussing secondary characters instead of talking about Gideon and Eva.

There were also things that I was thoroughly confused by. On one of the major plot happenings (the one I feel was glossed over) I was never really sure who they told what to. Did Carey know? Did Eva’s mother know? Who did they announce it to? I never really understood that.

Ok, so there you have it. I am still a fan of Gideon. Less so Eva now. I was NOT happy with her in this book. Would I recommend this book? Not really. However, I would recommend the series, and this book is integral to the series, so…in a roundabout way I guess I think you need to read it if you are a crossfire series fan. Does that make sense?

Me? I am still a fan and I will read the next book (which I am sure won’t be out for a year). I really, really, really hope that it redeems the series and makes me feel better about it.

Soooooo many unanswered questions.... Where to even begin. Well, I really can't, to be honest, because anything I have to say will give away major spoilers. Just know that I LOVED it, and other than all the unanswered questions, I don't understand why everyone is so pissed. As much as I would have loved for it to be wrapped up, I don't feel like she is stringing us along. There is definitely enough storyline to fill 5 books, and none of it is fluff. I will follow that woman wherever she wants to take us ;-) Just please don't make us wait too long.... Throw us a bone or something ;-)
