About this audiobook

They thought they had escaped. They were wrong.

After fleeing the Branch with Sam, Cas, and Nick, Anna is learning how to survive in hiding, following Sam's rules: Don't draw attention to yourself. Always carry a weapon. Know your surroundings. Watch your back.

When memories from Anna's old life begin to resurface – and a figure from her childhood reappears – Anna's loyalties are tested. Is it a Branch set-up, or could it be the reunion Anna has hoped for? Ultimately, the answers hinge on one question: What was the real reason her memories were erased in the first place?

Jennifer Rush delivers a thrilling sequel to Altered in a novel packed with mysteries, lies, and surprises that are sure to keep readers guessing until the last page is turned.

WOW! Instant action right out of the gate. Really loving this series and it's characters. Even more surprises and revelations. Great character development and world building. With how things ended I'm curious to see where else this series will go since things were pretty much wrapped up. Can't wait for the next book.

More of the same as in [Altered]. Nauseously light weight for all the betrayals, kin murder, violence and body count. The over use of the the word Agent to objectify bad guys with Stormtrooper ineffectiveness. Don’t waist more time on this series if there is anything else to (re)read.

I was really looking forward to reading this sequel, but it just didn't live up to Altered. The beginning was incredibly slow, and it didn't pick up until about halfway through. In the end it was decent, but it didn't wow me.And the rest will be spoilers. Anna was seriously pissing me off for most of this book. She spent more time worrying if Sam would go back to Dani, her sister who everyone thought was dead but is now surprise alive, than the trained killers who are after them. Priorities. No one really seemed to question Dani's presence until it was much too late, except for Nick a little, even after she said something weird that turned other people into killing machines. And I am having a hard time believing Anna, who does have some martial arts training but is still a seventeen (I think) year old girl, manages to beat the shit out of all of the trained killers who come after her. Why doesn't she lose just once? Seriously.

These books are quite captivating, and they have been since the first page. I really got a kick out of the first book, so I was expecting no less from this one. It did not disappoint. The reader learns so much more about the past in this book. The suspense and action are also enough to make it difficult to want to put the book down. When I got to the end I was secretly hoping it was not over because I have gotten hooked on this series. So, I checked out the author's web page and was excited that there will be another book. I cannot wait until then.

Oh My GOODNESS!!!! This sesond in the Altered series was amazing! Full of action, intrigue, suspense and more! The author puts her characters through so much, and yet they survive, although they are battered and still do not know everything in their pasts. I CANNOT wait to find out how the series ends. The story line is believable and the plots twists and turns are unreal. Who is friend, who is foe? The answers surprise you. LOVED it!

The ending of Altered brought a lot of answers but at least as many questions, as well. It's only the beginning of the questions, the things that may need to be reexamined, as Erased begins are brings even more things to light.""They thought they had escaped. We find out much more about the characters prior to Altered. It's a slow, at times agonizingly so, unveil, but one that keeps that plot moving at a fantastic pace. The right people are kept in the dark for the right amount of time. (Maybe someone else's - or just the novel's - 'right' but still right.)I still do not really get Sam and Anna together. I like both Sam and Anna individually plenty and Jennifer Rush does a fine job of writing how Anna sees (and thinks of) Sam, but something there just doesn't click for me. In Altered it was that the plot just didn't allow for the time or circumstances for things to develop. Here, though, I thought another character was a better fit for one of them. It doesn't make anything with the book bad in any way, however, and I really appreciate that. They don't have to work for me for me to like the remaining story. How the different character's stories come together, what we learn of who they were, what they learn of who they were really helps make the story fuller. Add in who they're becoming now, away from the farm house, if not, yet, from the Branch and characters that I liked in the first book became characters I started to love in this second book. The twists and turns Erased took, some more unexpected than others, were all great. Even if one step was predicted, its ramifications or everything, everyone it affected were not. There were some great surprises in Erased that have me really looking forward to whatever is to come in the third book. The ending of Altered had some surprises but it really had nothing on the ending to the sequel, Erased and the surprises and twists it has in store.Rating: 9/10

Once again Jennifer Rush delivered a fast-paced, action-packed read that was easily devoured in one sitting. Anna, Sam, Nick, and Cas are now hiding from the Branch, moving to a new town every month, constantly looking over their shoulders. They soon come to realize that they will never truly be free with the Branch out there looking for them. There must be a rule book out there for authors working on writing a series that says something along the lines of, “must have main character make a number of stupid decisions and bug the heck out of readers.” I seriously feel like this happens with every main character in a series. In one book you love ‘em and the next one you hate ’em. While I never loved Anna to begin with, she absolutely drove me nuts this time. Within the first few pages, she gets out of the bed she was sharing with Sam yet quickly denies that he is her boyfriend to Nick, not “officially” anyway. Two seconds later she’s telling Sam that she’s in love with him. Not quite sure what she thinks the definition of boyfriend is but apparently not someone you share a bed with and say I love you to. Another problem I had with Anna was how easily she’s taken to killing people. In the last book she was horrified by how easily Sam could kill, in this book she became a killing machine. While she mentioned something about feeling remorse for those she killed it sure didn’t show. As for the positives, we learned A LOT about the Branch, it’s history, who created it, and what they’ve been doing in the labs. Without the treatment drugs anymore the character’s memories begin to resurface, giving us a deeper look into each of the guys lives before they wound up in Anna’s basement. I liked getting these pieces to the puzzle but feel there are still many pieces missing. Hopefully everything will be cleared up in the final book, Reborn. Overall, the main character isn’t my favorite but the secondary characters make up for it. Also, the fact that it’s an action packed page turner sure to hold your attention until the very end.

This is a fantastic sequel! It moved in the character growth as well as the plot. It’s just amazing!Plot: So the plot pretty much picks up where the last book left off. They are on the run and coming into other problems they did not see coming. I like that this plot goes deeper than what the reader thinks. There are many secrets exposed and new characters coming to light. The reader also sees other character finally coming out in their thoughts and emotions. Let’s just say that I was intrigued pretty much from start to finish.Love/Friendship: I want to say soooo much! But ahhh, I don’t want to ruin it for everyone. But know this, there are characters coming out that will blow your mind. Don’t think for a second that you got it all figured out because in the end…BAM!Ending: When you get to the end and pretty much all the secrets are out, it just mind blowing. I think I sat there for a few minutes, going through my mind of what I just read. It’s… I can’t even think of words right now. But this story is good. Real good. So good that I need the next book already. This story is amazeballs! It captures the reader with elusive plot twists and secrets. An engaging story that builds nicely around the reader, Erased is clever. Delivering an extremely entertaining read, Erased is brilliant.
