      I really liked this book. I highly recommend reading this series.

      So Rome, I liked this book so much better than Jet. The characters felt so much more real. Rome was manly and never wavered on dramatic and emotional like Jet did. Since Rome is Rule’s brother, we got to see more of Rule and Shaw (and I loved them the most). While most series have a book that lacks, Jet was that book and Rome reminded me that this series was awesome.

      The first few chapters Cora and Rome didn’t get along at all, and their story didn’t intertwine much. But then before I realized it they find themselves in bed together. The rest of history. I loved their relationship journey and their personalities were so strong and perfect for each other.

      This book had a very emotional scene towards the end of the book that brought tears to my eyes. Since I was listening to the audiobook, I felt that my emotional involvement during the said scene was heightened. When the narrator for Cora was reading about what was taking place in the book, she sounded as if she was literally crying as she read. It was so intense and real. I loved it. It was really hard not to be completely, 100% involved in this book because hearing the emotion was so much more than just reading the emotion.

      Loved it! Big, brawny, sexy Rome is home now and trying to find his new path and place in the world. He's definitely not looking for a relationship but sometimes one just finds you. He and Cora are fantastic together. I definitely recommend this one.

      This time around, in the Marked Men series, it was kinda cool for the girl to be the one with all the metal and ink. I have liked Cora since we were first introduced to her in Rule because she seemed to be the only one who could handle the boys. The fact that this little tatted girl is tough enough to take these boys on is saying something because those boys are not saints, nor are they easy to handle. And yet she could do it. Considering she seems to put up a tough exterior it's a little hard to believe that she is so fragile on the inside. But it's great to see how her and Rome go from being acquaintances to something more. And as that relationship grows, Cora's fears start to dissipate.Rome is interesting because he is completely opposite of all the boys we have read about in this series. Coming back from the war has obviously left its mark on him, which is to be expected, but it has left him more like his brother than like his former self. He now has to struggle for a purpose in this new stage of his life, and it is proving to be very difficult.It's great when two people who don't think they could ever be with one another find that to be untrue. Sometimes extreme circumstances force you to reevaluate what you think you need. And I think Rome and Cora handle everything that's thrown their way remarkably well. And they are just so cute together. Their story is an interesting read, like the rest, but now I can't wait to get to Nash's story!

      Cora is the smart mouthed, loud, sassy manager of the Marked Men tattoo shop in Denver. Keeping the tattoo artists in line is her job and she doesn’t have time for much else. When Rome Archer (brother to the infamous Rule) arrives in town, with a bad case of PTSD, pissed off at the world and self destructive, she finds herself making time for the handsome soldier immediately. Rome has went to war, fought a battle for his life and his soul, and now has returned to civilian life. Lost within himself, Rome has turned to violence and alcohol to soothe his soul. When a night of drinking has him calling his brother, it’s Cora who answers the call for a sober driver. A night of passion later, Cora and Rome embark on a voracious romance that changes their lives and their fates forever. Perhaps my favorite to date, I knew from the very beginning that I was going to love Rome. Always so protective and by instinct the most loyal, Rome is heartbroken when he returns. He doesn't feel like he knows his family anymore and his whole world is upside down when he returns. Cora is so different from him and takes no prisoners. Strong and independent, Cora is wary of falling for Rome. She knows he needs help, but can she truly be the help he needs? Adorable and fun, I absolutely fell in love with Rome. Crownover does a great job of writing Cora and her interactions with the boys of the shop had me laughing out loud. Her no holds barred treatment of Rome and her sensitivity when dealing with his PTSD is handled with care and realistically related. Maybe my favorite part? Rome is dirrrrty when the times call for it and we all know Crownover rocks the dirrrty! Next up is Nash!

      You know how opposites are supposed to attract but so many times stories with them just fall flat? This one doesn't. Not at all! This is a case of opposites attracting, igniting and burning HOT. Loved it!

      Rome is back from the military and he is a ball of no-fun at all. None. He is moody, broody and sulking. With good reason, mind you.

      To Cora, Rom is "Captain No Fun". For Rome, Cora is the color he needs to bring him back from the gray. He needs her to infuse the life and she needs him to calm her, protect her (even though she would argue that point) and be her rock in life.

      Yin/yang, opposite but complementary. That is what you have with Rome and Cora. What's lovely is that you can see them as real people. These aren't characters that you can't relate to. They are completely relatable and real. Really, all the characters Jay Crownover creates are relatable. That's one think I love so much about her writing.

      Speaking of characters...yes, you get to catch up with the whole gang in this book. And yes, they are all still awesome!

      I LOVE this story. Being a military wife, I know all about the PTSD that is touched on in this novel. My own soldier woke up in the middle of the night sweating and reaching for his weapon for the longest time after he came back from the dessert. Jay did a great job explaining the troubles that causes a soldier. I loved the reality of the story. I did notice some small errors in editing but not enough to ruin the story. I absolutely loved every minute of it and can't wait to read the rest of the Marked Men Novels. Thank you Jay for a GREAT story :)

      Even though I have read Rule and Jet, books one and two in this series, Rome is by far my favorite! Jay Crownover tackles some tough issues in book three. Having someone you love cheat on you is devastating. Recovering from time spent in active duty military and war leaves silent wounds that are very hard to mend. When Cora and Rome meet upon his return from war, both are not particularly fond of the other. Thankfully, both Cora and Rome are extremely believable characters, and Crownover weaves a masterful story of how they can finally both move on with their lives. Rome and Cora danced across the pages of this novel and helped each other heal, and I believe they will help me heal in places I didn't know there were still open wounds. *YES!* (I cannot put into words everything this story made me feel. I will remember it for some time to come.)

      I received this free eARC from Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review. Wow. I love a story about a military man and I sure got one with Rome in this novel! When he came back, not only was he fighting his demons from being at war but also his personal demons with the news about his younger brother. But Cora was also a part of his new life out of the military. She is fiesty, spunky, doesn't care what she says or how she says it and she told this giant of a man just what she thought of his attitude. And Rome was pretty much sunk since then. But Rome wasn't the only one fighting demons, and Cora had to face hers in order to have a life with Rome. I think this might have been my favorite one out of the bunch yet, and it's because I loved BOTH of the characters. Rome and his hotness and intimidness and Cora with her sassy mouth, take no crap from the ex-military man. Yep, definitely loved this book and I am for sure a huge fan of Jay Crownover now! Can I have Nash's story now?! Please?! I think I'm going to love that story as well :D
