About this audiobook
Her narrow escape from blue-eyed assassin Tom Booker has made former data analyst Dani Britton question all of her choices—like trusting “good guys” who carry badges. On the run and haunted by the government-sanctioned massacre of her coworkers, Dani finally settles in remote Redemption Key, Florida, at a bar where strong drinks and shady deals are the norm.
The bar owner, a local operator with a past of his own, gives Dani a job, no questions asked, and soon Dani’s ability to “read” the sketchy characters doing business at the bar proves invaluable. The libations flow, and the Key’s laid-back vibe and warm waters start doing their therapeutic work. But as the mercury rises, a twisted deal starts to go down—threatening to take Dani with it. Like sharks smelling blood, players on both sides of the law circle for the kill. And when charming apex predator Booker joins the frenzy, he may turn out to be the only one on Dani's side.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Dani shared her entire experience of the attack on Rasmund with the FBI but they are still surveilling her, they have made it clear they think she was involved. Tom Booker, the hitman is still looking for her. Dani runs as far as she can living in fear, but begins to rebuild a life for herself at Redemption Key, until trouble comes for her again.Great characters with taut action and a twisted plot. Good read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5S.G. Redling has outdone herself with this second book in the Dani Britton series! OMG, can't wait to see what happens next!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I hadn't read the previous books by S.G. Redling and was surprised with the action and the predicament that the protagonist, Dani Britton, found herself in.Dani is attempting to get away from a past where she was almost killed by an assassin. Now, she is in a little fishing camp, village in Florida, Redemption Key.What exactly happened in her past left me a bit confused. However, this story moves swiftly with a wide array of characters. Most of those characters aren't very likable but the mixture of the group in this out of the way bar and cabin area is interesting and the setting is picturesque.Dani gets involved in another nerve catching event. She's appreciated by the bar owner but something is going down and the owner wants Dani to be his extra set of eyes and ears. The plot is basic and the reader attempts to determine what crime is being planned but then the author proves her imaginative skills and packs a conclusion that will have the reader shaking their head and rereading the last segment of the story to be sure they understood what was happening and what was going to occur.
