About this audiobook

When destiny brought Sir Balfour Murray and his wounded brother down the same road as Maldie Kirkaldy, she offered her services as a nurse even as she tried to deny the desire this dark-eyed knight had ignited at first sight. Soon they discover that they both share a mission of vengeance, but Maldie cannot tell him her true identity-to do so would brand her a spy . . .Sworn to avenge his family as chief of the Doncoill Clan, Balfour vows to destroy his greatest foe, with Maldie at his side. Yet Balfour knows that he can no more afford to trust her than he can ignore his lust for this sultry beauty. Now, he is not only determined to unearth her deepest secrets, but also to pursue his passion for her. And nothing will stand in his way . . .

AUTHOR: Hannah Howell is my favorite author. She is a historical romance author setting her stories in medieval Scotland. She writes well and with class.SYNOPSIS - Maldie Kirkcaldy meets Balfour Murray, laird of Donnocoill, after his clan’s battle with the the clan of William Beaton, laird of Dubhlinn. Balfour wants his brother Eric back who has been kidnapped by Beaton. Maldie is invited to stay at Donnocoill as Balfour notices that she is traveling alone. He wants her but so does his brother Nigel. Nigel had been severely injured during the clan battle and Maldie has volunteered to attend to his wounds. This story is about her time spent with the Murray clan as a healer, her secrets, and the revenge that she has set out to accomplish. She is bent on killing the one man that made her a bastard child, her father, William Beaton. PASSION SCALE: Of the following five options: 1) NOT very descriptive and requires imagination' 2) WILL make you wiggle a little) 3) WISH it was me; 4) OH BODY, whew; 5) EROTICA and well over the top****** This book gets THREE for "WISH it was me. Hannah Howell is one of my favourite authors and Highland Destiny is the book that started it all of for me many years ago as it is the first of the many books in the wonderful Murray saga that she has written. There's romance, intrigue and drama in this exciting story. Balfour vows to defeat his greatest enemy Beaton of Dubblinn with Maldie, a young woman who offers her nursing skills, while trying to awaken her deepest passions and learn all her secrets at the same time. This is a great story, with lot's of action and tender love scenes. Definitely a keeper! 5/5
