Back cover description of book: "Fifteen years ago, Lully broke up Sam and Emma's intended marriage, and Sam watched Emma go without a fight. Now the same woman's dying wish has thrown Sam ad Emma back into each other's lives. As they work together to restore the crumbling Mansi Mansion can they find the will to finish what they started so long ago?"I must say that there was so much more to this story, although the above is a good general description of the book. Emma has to deal with anger and resentment towards not only Sam, but also the town and her deceased sister. The love that Sam and Emma had for each other is still alive and well, it just needs to be trusted by both parties. The journal Lully left behind and Emma found brought tears to my eyes as I read it. It was a very well told story with a little bit of mystery and a lot of love. I won't give anything away, but I loved the ending!!!
