The book starts out very dramatically with a tragic death, and it seems like the reader is going to be in for quite the ride. Wrong! After that, no surprises, lots of praying, "saved" Christians are perfect-everyone else is going to hell, pat ending.

Great read about a small town high school football. They also made a movie of this but the book is much better they leave out too much on the movie
