Dana's always wanted a rewarding career, but her college dreams are threatened by a financial setback. In desperate need of money, she takes a drastic step-to auction off her virginity.

Mason is used to getting what he wants. The head of his own corporate empire, he has wealth, power, and no shortage of beautiful women ready to fulfill his every need. But despite having it all, Mason is bored. Until he comes face-to-face with a woman from his past. The one woman he's always wanted, even if she's completely forbidden-or is she?

Now he's about to bid on the one thing he thought he could never have. But what started out as a way for each of them to get what they've always wanted is about to turn into so much more....

I listen to many audiobooks a month. I've listened to hundreds. I couldn't get 5 minutes into this due to the narrator's voice. What were they thinking!? So obnoxious. I'm searching by narrator now to remove any saved books that have her listed. SO BAD. Try harder.

Did Betty White narrate this book? Because I swear there were times where I felt like I was listening to her voice and not someone who was in her mid-20s.

Stepbrother, Mine is typical of the novels of Opal Carew. Mason is the much older stepbrother of Dana. They have been estranged for years since their parents divorced. Dana's mother cuts off her funds, so Dana signs up to sell her virginity to a rich man for $50,000, which she would use to further her education. Mason walks back into her life when he buys her contract. Both were always very attracted to one another, but now that Dana is older, it seems they can no longer fight that attraction. This story has very little character or plot development. It is almost as if Carew develops the erotic scenes first and then fits a story around them. Nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected here, Carew delivers what is expected from her novels.
