About this audiobook

Lisa Wingate has been favorably compared to authors Nicholas Sparks and Richard Paul Evans. In A Month of Summer, Hanna Beth has been caring for her aging husband-who suffers from Alzheimer's-and her developmentally challenged adult son for years on her own. But when she suffers a stroke, estranged stepdaughter Rebecca must take the reins. As she cares for her father and the step-brother she's barely met, Rebecca slowly begins to heal both herself and her family.

This book captures the emotions and misunderstandings that often happen in families that tend to scatter them but with love and forgiveness, brings all back to the center.

I enjoyed this book. It made you realize how fragile life can be, how people are taken advantage of every day and how you just need to love life and not take it so seriously. I love the childlike wonder of Teddy who just loves life and flowers. The struggles Hannah Beth has with her recovery and the struggles Rebecca experiences pulls at the heart. An enjoyable book.

first rate writing. Rebecca a-becca must go to her dad and his new wife after 30 yrs. of avoiding them. She finds out they are nice as is Teddy, the mind handicapped but loving son. Strokes, dementia, caregiver stealing, its' all here.
