As a SA expat, this book is super nostalgic and a wonderful reflection of a half English, half South African culture. Plus all the sensory memories so accurately captured in such beautiful language.

Fantastic, love how writer really gave this story a "lokal" flavour, painting such a beautiful picture of where Tannie and her where she lives and the wonderful characters that surround her including her lovely chickens

I liked it. It was such a cute story with the element of mystery and romance. I love all the South African expressions and the recipes. A good narrator is really important, and this narration was really good with the accents. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
