About this audiobook
Emmy-nominated author and New York Times best-selling illustrator Peter Elwell crafts a bright and cheerful book about choosing your own path in life. Oscar the caterpillar lives in a flower pot in Cleveland. One day, a monarch butterfly floats by, headed for Mexico. Oscar learns that he will one day have wings too-but when that day comes, Oscar gets quite a surprise. ". its ebullient, optimistic tone [gives] the book strong appeal for children [and] some basic Spanish vocabulary is an added bonus."-School Library Journal

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Oscar is a caterpillar who can't wait to fly to Mexico like one of his butterfly friends. He starts learning Spanish, but one day he wakes up and finds he has turned into a moth instead. He decides to think like a butterfly instead of a moth, and fly to Mexico instead of staying near his porchlight and eating socks. The dialogue seems forced, which makes this book seem limited to young children.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oscar is a caterpillar who is excited to turn into a butterfly and fly to Mexico. However, his hopes are dashed when it turns out he is actually a moth, destined to travel only as far as the local porch light. I found this book to be a very charming and unusual take on the theme of following your dreams.
