About this audiobook
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Girl, Wash Your Face comes the story of a small-town girl finding her way in Hollywood one misstep at a time—now paired with the novella Party Girl’s First Date.
Landon Brinkley’s dreams are all coming true. She’s landed an internship with a fabulous event planner for the Hollywood elite, taking her from small-town Texas to the bright lights of LA. Landon finds herself in a world in which spending a million dollars on an event—even a child’s birthday party—is de rigueur, and the whims of celebrity clients are life-and-death matters. At first, the thrill of working on A-list parties and celebrity weddings is enough to survive the seventy-five-hour workweeks and her mercurial boss. But when the reality of the business reveals itself, she’s forced to make a choice: do whatever it takes to get ahead, or stay true to herself.
Drawing on the author’s real-life experiences as an event planner to the stars, Party Girl takes readers on an adventure among Hollywood’s most beautiful—and most outrageous—people, revealing the ugly side of Hollywood’s prettiest parties.
Revised edition: This edition of Party Girl includes editorial revisions and additional content.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I’ll be honest - I didn’t finish the book. I didn’t even come close to finishing it because in chapter one the author spends not just one but several minutes describing the character’s make-up in absurd detail. Maybe there are some people who love to know not just that a character is wearing lipstick but also the brand & shade of that lipstick but I’m not one of them. I wouldn’t normally write a review without finishing a book but I wanted to give others like me a warning of what to expect.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5this is a fun story. I had the audio book and the author narrates and does a great job. Big party planning job, southern girl, hunky men. All the essential ingredients for a good book..

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I don’t ever read fiction, let alone romance type novels. But I read Girl Wash Your Face and loved Rachel! Listened to many of her interviews on YouTube. So I was intrigued by this book. It was a nice escape from looking into my Life’s problems. It was clean and innocent yet suspenseful. Maybe predictable, but her southern accent drawls you in and I couldn’t stop listening!!! ?I am looking forward to ‘listening’ to another one of Rachel’s fictional books.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Since I was a little girl, I’ve read anything and everything from history to silly novels. Most of the silly novels, make me roll my eyes more than once with the impossible situations and ridiculous plots but, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The characters and the story are predictable but, sweet, entertaining and well written. I throughly enjoyed listening to it and it left me smiling.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I honestly wasn’t sure I would enjoy this book when I started it because it’s not my typical genre of fiction I go to, but once again Mrs. Hollis has swept me away and kept me wanting more. I am deployed overseas right now and this is her third book that I have read to help me pass the time. Good work Rachel, I cannot wait to start the next one.
