About this audiobook

Though Cassie Coblenz left her Amish community to go to college, her mother and father's farm will always feel like home. It's the ideal place for an extended study break-at least until her grandmother's handsome Englisch doctor becomes a regular distraction. Zach Reynolds is the kind of heartbreaker Cassie has learned to avoid, no matter how charming he may be.
Unlike every woman Zach has met in recent years, Cassie doesn't fall at his feet. Strong, generous, beautiful within and without-she's everything he could want. Yet the gulf between them deepens when a tragedy shakes his faith. Now the good doctor has one goal-to become a man who could be worthy of Cassie's love.

Anna is back at her match-making best, and she has selected the perfect person for her granddaughter Cassie. Cassie has opted not to be baptized into the Amish faith, something her grandmother can accept, but not her brother Norman nor her mother. This creates much tension in the family, but not between Anna and Cassie. Thrown into the mix is Zach, Anna’s doctor and Cassie’s soon to be boyfriend, at least he will be if Anna gets her wish. There are serious moments in this installment, but there are some funny moments, too. All the books in this series are highly entertaining and well imagined and quite well written.

Huckleberry Hearts by Jennifer Beckstrand is the sixth book in The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill series. Anna and Felty Helmuth are up to their normal hijinks. Anna wants to set up her granddaughter, Cassie Coblenz. Anna has decided that Dr. Zach Reynolds is the perfect match. So Anna is having a black spot on her foot operated on (it turned out to be melanoma). Anna even knitted the doctor a scarf, beanie, and mittens as incentive (she does not make everyone mittens because they take longer to knit). Cassie is going to stay at Huckleberry Hill and help out while Anna recovers from her surgery (she has to stay off her feet). This will give Anna extra time to knit (and keep her out of the kitchen). Cassie decided not to be baptized in the Amish faith. She has just graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Art History. Cassie is going to use the time at her grandparents to study for the GRE test (she wants to go to graduate school). Cassie’s mother is not happy with Cassie’s choice and neither is Cassie’s brother, Norman. They use every opportunity to tell her of their displeasure (they are bullies). Dr. Reynolds also attended the University of Chicago. He does not remember Cassie, but Cassie remembers him. This does not bode well for Anna’s matchmaking scheme especially since Cassie has severe trust issues. Zach has faith issues since the death of his father. But being around Cassie, Anna, and Felty will change Zach (hopefully). Will Zach be able to woo Cassie? Can they overcome their issues and have a future together? Anna and Felty have such a good track record. You will have to read Huckleberry Hearts to see if Anna and Felty make another successful match.Huckleberry Hearts was my least favorite of the six books in the series. I found Cassie’s mother and brother very offense (and Cassie refuses to fight back or stand up for herself). Cassie just let herself be a doormat (very unattractive quality). This book is also the most religious out of all the books (a lot of scripture and theology). The writing is good (as always). Huckleberry Hearts is a light, airy, and easy to read novel for the most part. The ending is so sweet. Anna and Felty are such a loving, warm couple. They are why I read the books. I give Huckleberry Hearts 4 out of 5 stars. I cannot wait for the next book in this series (though, according to the author, we will have a wait) to see what Anna and Felty are up to next (Anna is going to learn to crochet).I received a complimentary copy of Huckleberry Hearts from NetGalley and Kensington Books in exchange for an honest review.

This was a wonderful Amish Romance. I laughed and cried during this story. I loved the grandparents Bing matchmakers. There were some ups and downs for Cassie and Zach. Cassie was born into the Amish faith and left to go to college before she wa baptized. She comes back to help her mammi after a foot surgery. This is when her mammi meets a young doctor(Zach) who she decides would be good for her granddaughter. I loved the story and Ll the characters. I received this ebook from Celebration Lit Bloggers for a fair and honest opinion.

It is always nice to continue a series that you have darken in love with. The beautiful writing of this series has been a nice relaxing time of getting to know the characters and their many lovely and sometimes quirky traits. What would it be like to have a grandmother who was determined to find you a mate? This book gives us a glimpse of one family that will find out what lengths a grandmother will go through to find happiness for her granddaughter. Let the games begin. Cassie has been away from her old lifestyle as an Amish for a long time. She went away to pursue her dream of going to college and find a promising career. When she receives word that her grandmother, Anna, has a cancerous spot on her foot that will require surgery and care, Cassie comes home to take care of her. She doesn't know what she is in store for with her grandmother wanting to play matchmaker. Will Anna's plan work to bring true love to her granddaughter? Zach is the handsome doctor that has been taking care of Cassie's grandmother. He has really made an impression on Anna and guess who she picks for Cassie to match her with ? I loved the part where Cassie and Zach had both attended the same college. Zach it seems had a reputation at the college thst was not well received by Cassie. She wanted nothing to do with him. That is such a minor detail, because Anna has decided they will make a perfect couple. After all, grandparents only want the best for their grandchildren and Anna believes she has found the perfect match for Cassie. The book is filled with hope, twists that keep you guessing, faith and an unforgettable love between family. Will Cassie return to her Amish faith? Can Zach win Cassie's heart? I really enjoyed the story and the story that flowed smoothly and kept my interest till the very end. You are in for a treat as you read this story that will give you a sense of strong family and the desire to find happiness for those you love. I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit for an honest review.

I knew when I received this book what it was about, at least the topic, I put it aside to savor and read when I really wanted to enjoy a book. I knew! This story did not disappoint and I could not wait for Annie and Felty’s banter, and Annie and her match making. This one is a surprise as this granddaughter, Cassie, is no longer Amish, but she is still a much-loved member of the Helmuth family. Now who wouldn’t want these two for their Grandparents, I sure would, and as they involved themselves in their family’s lives you see a lot of love.Annie has picked out the young intern that has diagnosed her foot cancer, and she decides that Zach Reynolds would be the perfect match for Cassie. She didn’t realize that Cassie had already met him, but that is another or part of this amazing story.Watch this young doctor learn to understand the Amish and end up milking a cow, and learn how to tap trees to make maple syrup. Now Cassie is up against her family, namely her mother and brother, who believer she will go to hell if she doesn’t give up her worldly life and join the Amish church. Wait until you see what happens with the “pink” dress, definitely not what they planned!I hate that we are going to have to wait awhile for another visit with this cherished family! There is a new series coming and I am looking forward to it!I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Kensington, and was not required to give a positive review.
