About this audiobook

Honor, courage, and commitment: three things that Jesse Carter has lost. A former Marine, Jesse used to stand proud of his achievements and live by the code. But when circumstance made him question everything he believed in, those most basic values didn't feel so important after all.

Sex, lies, and the Knights Rebels: three things that Jesse Carter has found. Reborn into a brotherhood not so different from the one he left behind, Jesse finds it all too easy to block out his past and claim the role as the Rebels' fun-loving player-until he meets Bell.
Shy, awkward, and with troubles of her own, Bell Johnson is no stranger to hiding her pain. When Jesse forces himself into her life, she's at risk of her defenses crumbling. Does Bell have the strength to survive Jesse and his demons, or is she fated to become another casualty in the self-destruction of Jesse Carter?Contains mature themes.

So we have always wanted to know more about Jesse, at least I did, and yes at times you could not believe the words that were coming out of his mouth, but I still loved Jesse, I know I know he was acting like a jerk but what he went thru was so heartbreaking. I enjoyed his relationship with Kadence, she was there for him just like he was there for her when she had needed him. I know I am in the minority again, but I did not like Bell, nope she just annoyed the crap out of me. When she needed to be tough she was a doormat, and her dumb ass just did not listen, come on they told you to stay away from a dangerous situation and she doesn't how stupid is that..Jesse warns her to not touch him while sleeping and her dumbass touches him, she is nurse she should know better..god I wanted to knock her out..I wish he would have had someone else for him, but beggers can't be choosers..Stil. enjoyed story and loved reading about the crew

This was an enjoyable book but also very frustrating. The two main heroes in the story were a little disappointing in character. Jesse was very domineering and even verbally abusive all the way through the story, even when he was trying to win his girl, and Bell just let him get away with it and didn't say a thing to stand up for her self. I'm sorry, but that's just not something I could do, I wanted to hit him at times, but then again he's such a hot, cute, sexy guy, he wanted to jump his bones as well. The story was good, there was a lot of mixed up pressure on this damaged male, and he needed an innocent like Bell for him to see the light, I just wished she had a little more gumption to say no now and again.I did enjoy the story and Ms. Savage gave us a several openings for the next book, but which will she take?I can't wait to find out how this amazing series will continue.
