About this audiobook

Jason Thorn . . . my brother's childhood friend. Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy that made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time-he was the reason for them all. But you only get to live in that fairy tale world until they crush your hopes and dreams and then stomp on your heart for good measure. And boy did he crush my little heart into pieces.

After the stomping part, he became the boy I did my best to stay away from-and let me tell you, it was pretty hard to do when he slept in the room right across from mine. When tragedy struck his family and they moved away, I was ready to forget he ever existed.

Now he's a movie star, the one who makes women of all ages go into a screaming frenzy. Me? I'm Olive, a new writer. Actually, I'm the writer of the book that inspired the movie he is about to star in on the big screen. As of late, I am also referred to as the oh-so-very-lucky girl who is about to become the wife of Jason Thorn.Contains mature themes.

I couldn’t stop listening to this great romance. Olive’s devotion to her childhood crush and the love she steadfastly hung on to was believable and endearing. Jason’s character, his jaded and distrustful POV that evolved into the devotion Olive deserved was heartwarming and hot and sexy. Great book!
Narration was perfect! Thank you Sebastian and Lidia!

Super cute. It made me smile a lot. Only pet peeve was his nickname for her “Little one” which came across as weird and unnatural. I swear I could almost hear Sebastian York cringing as he said it, lol. Which is frankly the only reason it didn’t sound creepy.

Let's be honest, the brother's best friend/fake romance trope has been done to death but whilst reading a mentally heavier physical book, I needed something lighthearted. I gave To Love Jason Thorn a go on audio and it felt like perfect timing. It was just what I needed.

Olive Taylor first meets Jason Thorn when she is seven years old and he moves into their street. He becomes best friends with her older brother, he's always at their house, but following Jason's mother's death when he is a teen, he moves away. Olive's heart is broken as she always had an unrequited love for Jason.

Olive, now in her 20s in present day, is a bestselling author with one of her books being made into a movie. Jason Thorn is a famous actor with a bit of a reputation with ladies. Who is cast as the male lead in Olive's adaptation? Of course, it's Jason! They are both happy to be back in contact again but when they are papped together looking very happy, Jason's publicist thinks that the best way to clean up his image is a fake marriage... I think we all know how this goes.

Sorry for potential spoilers in this review but it's pretty basic, it has quite a bit of spice and it is just a nice, relaxing read. I really enjoyed it!

this needs a trigger warning, for barely consensual sex scenes

I love the story, it was a little bit of a slow burn but it was great! The tension, the story line, the narration! I have listened to this story twoce now and it was just as good as the first!

I really enjoy this story, but the dialogue is sometimes stilted. It's a pet peeve of mine when they don't use contractions when they should.

5 stars Blurb describes book. Story dragged in the beginning but, after the author laid out necessary groundwork for the story,it took off and I was hooked. Voice actor, Sebastian York, brought H and h to life. Female narrator was ok.

Also just as boring as the Dam Connor one. I dislike the kind of trope portrayed in the book

Le livre est un peu superflu, les personnages et intrigues secondaires ne sont pas assez approfondies.
C'est dommage mais sinon sympa pour passer le temps.

It was ok. A bit too cheesy for my tastes. But the spicy scenes were pretty good.

Olive had her heart broken by her childhood crush, who was her big brother's best friend, and although it was years ago and Jason moved away when they were still kids, she still carries a torch for him. So much so, in fact, that she wrote a romance novel with a main couple that's a barely-disguised version of her and Jason. Things take a turn for the crazy when her novel gets optioned and the studio gets Jason himself (now a huge movie star) to play the male lead, and then there's an even crazier turn when he asks Olive to marry him in a PR ploy to get his rep back on trap (he's a bit of a bad boy, dontcha know). Will he actually fall in love with her so she can make her live-long love dreams a reality? Of course he will.A pretty standard contemporary romance, I think, by which I mean it's an enjoyable, non-taxing read with some fun sexy bits thrown in.

Olive has loved Jason Thorn since she was a kid, so much so, that she wrote a book about her feelings for him. Nobody is more surprised than Olive when her book becomes a bestseller, but the kicker is that after it is optioned for a film adaptation, Jason is cast as the lead. Jason is living with his own challenges as his behavior with women is not only becoming legendary, but it is also sabotaging his own career. Seeing Olive again is like a breath of fresh air and spending time with her, makes him realize how much he has always cared for her, but when the tabloids get wind of their friendship, Jason's publicity team comes up with an interesting idea.To Love Jason Thorn is a good romance with several well executed tropes but unfortunately is extremely predictable. The two main characters are likable in this dual POV story, but the formulaic nature of the book makes it difficult to become fully invested in the development of their arcs. There are a couple of twists near the end of the book that add interest to the story, but overall, To Love Jason Thorn doesn't add anything new to the genre.

Olive met Jason when she was six and he was the new boy across the street and soon to be her older brother's best friend. It was love at first sight for her and Jason loved her too, but as his little friend. Olive's family became his as he navigated a less than perfect home life. After his mother dies, Jason leaves and they don't see each other again until years later when he is now a successful actor and Olive has just written her first book which is being made into a movie starring - you guessed it Jason Thorn. He has become something of a bad boy, and it seems that Olive is a good influence on him. I liked a lot of things about this, but it was overall pretty predictable. I liked the beginning of the book where we see how Jason and Olive bond as young people. I liked how much he respected her parents and felt he was part of their family. I liked the banter between Olive and Jason both as young people and adults. The only thing I wish would have been written a little differently was how they didn't include Olive's family in the story again until the very end. I found it hard to believe that they really could have done what they did without more input from them. This was also one of those books where the steamy stuff was a little over the top for me. I would have liked more depth seen in the growth of their adult relationship. Overall 3.5 starsThings to note: death of parent, on page steamy scenes, alcohol use
