Dorian: A changeling who can never shift lives a life of quiet frustration-until he learns how to let his leopard come out and play.

Partners in Persuasion: Still raw from being burned by a dominant female, wolf changeling Felix will never again risk being a plaything. She just has to convince this gun-shy wolf that he can trust the dangerous cat who wants to take a slow, sexy bite out of him.

With this collection you get to see four separate couples come together. The Dorian story is the one that I liked the best going over the first time he was able to shift. The last story was a rekindling of a romance with a locked room murder to solve. The problem for me was I swear I had read the murder setup up somewhere before and it seemed so obvious who the killer was from the beginning. The first story is set in BlackSea’s domain but we really don’t get to learn anything about them since it is a love story between the Psy and a human. And the third story covers a romance that isn’t seen in the packs that often a dominate female with a submissive male. That one was interesting since it covered more the whys of how the pack structure works with dominate and submissive members and used the wolf vs cat to explain it without infodumping the reader.

Overall it was a nice collection and it was fun but I think I might have enjoyed it a bit more if it hadn’t come out so close to the previous book. Now I’m just left drumming my fingers waiting for a mainline novel to push the story arc of the series. The short romances are nice but they are not what I like the most about the series.

A collection of novellas set in the psy-changeling world. My favorite was the first which tells about the romance between Psy Stefan and human Tazia Nerif. They are both working at an undersea station. Stefan was a traumatized child and Silence isn't sticking with him but as a TK control is vital for him and his society. Tazia is an engineer raised in a paternal, rural society who left to pursue her dreams after rejecting the man her father wanted her to marry. She misses home and feels rejected by her family. Stefan takes her along when he does earthquake relief and the the two fall in love. He helps her reconcile with her family. I also liked the snippets about Dorian.

I enjoyed this collection of short stories from her Psy-Changeling world.Tazia Nerif has been working as an engineer in an deep-sea station. She's an ordinary human with a past and she finds herself attracted to the psy station commander who doesn't appear to be feeling anything, but that is the way of psy. One break above ground changes both of their lives as they learn more about each other.Dorian finds his shape.Partners in Persuasion features a submissive (Felix) who had his heart broken by a dominant and doesn't want to risk that again. Dezi is determined to change his mind. Now while I get some of the issues in Flirtations of Fate, there are other options too....Overall the stories were good tasters and I'm looking forward to more in this series.
