- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The quality of writing was pretty good. A little repetitive when it came to descriptors... and by a little, I swear if I hear about Dover's iris eyes one more time... Anyway, beyond that, the writing wasn't bad. The plot was interesting and I kept listening even when I didn't really care for the characters. For me, there was an overall lack of respect for women. Even, and maybe especially, the interaction between Sonny and Dover was very dominating, very "You'll do what I say bitch and you'll love every second of it. Then you'll lay there like a good girl and let me fuck you to oblivion because I'm a man and you're just a hungry girl looking to have her holes filled". Not really my cup of tea. I'm not a raging feminist or anything but if anyone treated me the way that he treated her, they would be out of my life faster than they could say "oops". Just saying.
