About this audiobook

The request seems odd, even intrusive-and for the two women who answer, the consequences are devastating.
EMMA
Reeling from a traumatic break-in, Emma wants a new place to live. But none of the apartments she sees are affordable or feel safe. Until One Folgate Street. The house is an architectural masterpiece: a minimalist design of pale stone, plate glass, and soaring ceilings. But there are rules. The enigmatic architect who designed the house retains full control: no books, no throw pillows, no photos or clutter or personal effects of any kind. The space is intended to transform its occupant-and it does.
JANE
After a personal tragedy, Jane needs a fresh start. When she finds One Folgate Street she is instantly drawn to the space-and to its aloof but seductive creator. Moving in, Jane soon learns about the untimely death of the home's previous tenant, a woman similar to Jane in age and appearance. As Jane tries to untangle truth from lies, she unwittingly follows the same patterns, makes the same choices, crosses paths with the same people, and experiences the same terror, as the girl before.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Although somewhat contrived, much of the book is interesting and fun to follow. the very end ruins it though. Drippy, sentimental, sanctimonious.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Good, not great. Really 3.5 stars from me. Interesting story but somewhat predictable. One good twist but the ending trails off rather than ending triumphantly knowing the reader is shocked. It could've been a better book perhaps with a strong editor's guidance but it was worth an audiobook credit.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I actually enjoyed this book, and it was a great audio book to listen to! Intriguing story!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just when I thought it was getting predictable, a was tossed a curve ball. I really like the twists and turns. A very good and interesting story. Well written and narrated.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Easy read, keeps your attention. It should've ended at chapter 15.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was an interesting read to begin with but a total let down when it came to the ending!!! It was as if the author didn’t know what to do in the end. None of the characters were like able as the book moved along.
All in all, disappointing! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great audio performance and engaging story. Suspenseful and exciting plot.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent story! One of the best I've listened to. Kept me captivated. Loved the storyline.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The ending was awful but otherwise I liked it. it would have been a 5 star if not for the last little bit.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It had it’s moments where it could have been less predictable, but it was a good read/listen.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I like this book. I personally thought the ending was fitting for the book. It had me till the very end. It was good.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was not what I expected. I just thought it would be better.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Honestly so great! Edge of my seat the whole time..
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5the story is OK (not great) but the behavior of the characters is somewhat illogical. First, those women agreed to live in a place where everything is monitored and recorded ( obviously) and do not even bother reading the contact ( because there is a hot guy standing at the other end of it) but suddenly, they are all pissed off about the system "spying" on them, the man controlling them and all the other things. I didn't sympathize with any of the characters (because all of them got what they deserved) and at the end this is what prevented me from really enjoying this book
