About this audiobook

Some people live their entire lives without changing their perspective. For Allison Dennis, all it takes is 180 seconds…

After a life spent bouncing from one foster home to the next, Allison is determined to keep others at arm’s length. Adopted at sixteen, she knows better than to believe in the permanence of anything. But as she begins her third year in college, she finds it increasingly difficult to disappear into the white noise pouring from her earbuds.

One unsuspecting afternoon, Allison is roped into a social experiment just off campus. Suddenly, she finds herself in front of a crowd, forced to interact with a complete stranger for 180 seconds. Neither she, nor Esben Baylor, the dreamy social media star seated opposite her, is prepared for the outcome.

When time is called, the intensity of the experience overwhelms Allison and Esben in a way that unnerves and electrifies them both. With a push from her oldest friend, Allison embarks on a journey to find out if what she and Esben shared is the real thing—and if she can finally trust in herself, in others, and in love.

Jessica Park

Jessica Park is the bestselling author of more than fifteen novels, including Flat-Out Love and Left Drowning. She grew up in the Boston area and attended Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. After spending four years in the frigid north, including suffering through one memorable Halloween blizzard, she decided to set out for warmer climes. She now lives in the relatively balmy state of New Hampshire with her husband, son, two dogs, and a cat. She admits to spending an obscene amount time thinking about rocker boys and their guitars, complex caffeinated beverages, and tropical vacations.

This book has made me feel so many emotions while reading this book. It was incredibly sad but also makes you joyful inside. This book was an amazing read and I hope the author has more books like these.

I liked nothing about the main character and I’m so sorry I think the story might of been amazing but chapter after chapter of her inner conversation to herself was just so annoying I flipped so many chapters just to get to the end this book got so many good reviews and I’m not sure why I’m just a small minority that didn’t get it or liked I did love Aspen but that’s all I can say about this book

Sweet, romantic, emotional, I loved it! I would maybe say that Esben was a *little* too perfect and cheesy, but it sort of worked. I actually tried to Google spoilers (I didn't find any)because I had read reviews that it was very sad and I wanted to know what kind of sadness I was getting into. It was worth the lump in my throat.
I loved the hope and happiness and giddiness that this book inspires. I'm off to convince my husband to reenact 180 seconds with me.

Should have read the reviews before I listened to this at work. I wish I had known it had heartbreaking sections but at least I was in my office alone while trying to hold back the tears.

Incredibly sad at some points, I definitely had a lump in my throat and shed a few tears but a good book.

I loved this book, and I loved all of the characters. I just wish that in the description there was a warning about some very sad scenes.

It is a sad but beautiful story of a girl who thought she had nothing and would never have anything more than her only bestfriend. Later she learns that if we never try we will never see what's on the other side of the walls we build.
