      Targets of Deception, a thriller written by Jeffrey S. Stephens, is, imo, truly a rare work that takes care of all of the necessities every good author has to demonstrate: a story telling talent built upon a basic structure, a foundation created that the author uses as the skeleton underlying the story, and necessitates a command of character development -- grammar -- chapter breaks that make sense -- sentence structure -- vocabulary -- spelling -- paragraph creation -- skillful use of the English language -- plus many more details needing the attention of the writer wanting to build a novel that will be enjoyable and entertaining -- after the foundation is laid then the parts of a good story can be built upon that structure -- my point is to mention some, not all, of the many and varied elements a writer has to master to write an excellent novel like Targets of Deception -- here is what's so amazing: ToD is a work excellently created and GET THIS: this is the FIRST book written by this author! it has been praised by other writers of thrillers and gotten great reviews from readers (listeners) and professionals alike AND Mr Stephens wrote his first book then published his first book then distributed his first book ALL as a lone actor -- he tackled everything, all details necessary, all on his own to get his book noticed, read (listened) and enjoyed! -- besides being an amazing writer, book publisher and distributor, he has deveoped this, his first novel, into a continuing story, connected as The Jordan Sandor Series -- his exploits continue making for a truly great story, an entertaining work of art giving the reader (listener) satisfaction and enjoyment rarely found -- the 'thriller' genre is a very difficult arena to gain a foothold, to get accepted -- especially difficult, truly almost impossible, for a new untested author writing his FIRST long form (10 hours listening) thriller novel --- Jeffery S.
