About this audiobook

Everyone knows that all’s fair in love and war. But these two will learn that sabotage is a dish best served naked.

A sexy, compulsively readable romantic comedy that dives headlong into the thrill and doubt of modern love, Dating You/Hating You by New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren is the story of what two high-powered agents will—and won’t—do to get everything they ever wanted.

Despite the odds against them from an embarrassing meet-awkward at a mutual friend’s Halloween party, Carter and Evie immediately hit it off. Even the realization that they’re both high-powered agents at competing firms in Hollywood isn’t enough to squash the fire.

But when their two agencies merge—causing the pair to vie for the same position—all bets are off. What could have been a beautiful, blossoming romance turns into an all-out war of sabotage. Carter and Evie are both thirtysomething professionals—so why can’t they act like it?

Can Carter stop trying to please everyone and see how their mutual boss is really playing the game? Can Evie put aside her competitive nature long enough to figure out what she really wants in life? Can their actor clients just be something close to human? Whether these two Hollywood love/hatebirds get the storybook Hollywood ending, or just a dramedy of epic proportions, you get to enjoy Christina Lauren’s heartfelt, hilarious story of romance in the modern world.

I can’t tell if this book would get any better. I can’t pass the annoyance of the reader’s voice. Can’t even concentrate on the words...

This book could have been about half the length given how boring and uneventful it was. I thought it was going to be a great slow development of a relationship with actual interactions after an initial spark but it ended up being too work heavy.

Didn’t enjoy the storyline at all and the narrators voices were quite annoying, especially the female with the weird emphasis she put on words.

This novel is marketed as a contemporary romance, but given the fact that the heroine's romantic interest is only onstage with her about 30% of the book, it seems more like chick lit to me personally. The vast majority of the book is spent on the daily events involved in work at the office. Not particularly interesting stuff. This author did the same thing for Twice in a Blue Moon. It seems to be a pattern of this author's writing.

Usually listening to the audiobook version of a story adds to my enjoyment. I am able to read and almost hear the characters. I use scribd to switch back and forth between print and audio. This one wasn't a hit for me in either format. It was fine, but probably my least favorite Christina Lauren to date.

Very cute story. Good plot twist that isn’t immediately obvious. Relationship felt genuine better the characters. Funny well placed secondary characters.

3rd book by the authors I read in a row, I love how the story is not just about the steamy parts, but the characters say to day.

The plot was okay. But, friends to enemies to friends was cumbersome and made the story too long.

The female narrator was inappropriate to play a chic, urbane high powered businesswoman. She sounded like a folksy Midwest teacher.

Christina Lauren have done it again with the humour and steam all mixed into one.

I loved the workplace romance and the fact that this is an age gap with an older woman? *Chefs kiss*

The meet-cute was adorable and Carter is so charmingly funny without even realising it, it's like kryptonight. I fell in love with him more and more after every page. The sexual tension was a slow build-up as the story went on because of their close proximity but at the same time, they couldn't keep their hands off of each other, after that first night before they knew who each other were.

This wasn't my favourite of their books but that's not to say I didn't enjoy it. It was a tad long-winded and a lot of new drama seemed to pop up randomly when I thought it was resolved.

A little ‘tamer’ than a lot of the books by this author. But a great story nonetheless.

I’m almost finish with all of Cristina Lauren’s books.
I almost didn’t fall onto this one.
But as usual, the author does not disappoint. ❤️❤️

Background story felt solid. Characters well thought. Plot was ok. The first chapters had me wanting for more - even at 2 am! Last chapters tho... really? The 007 stunt... oh jeez... it ruined it. It felt like coming out of nowhere, fast, even clumsy. Overall I’ll give it a thumbs up.

The title Dating You Hating You makes sense! The premise of dating colleague while being helplessly competitive and failing to resist the attraction, is brilliant! What i notice about this novel is that it strikes the balance between career and romance. Slightly different approach to their other novels, but i like it when it has other major plot going on. Oh my god! The romance is steamy, hot and sexy! Overall, i really had a great time listening to it! Love the narrators too!!!

Love this book! Evie & Carter's chemistry is so great, and feels so real! The pranks they pull on each other are hilarious but not too over the top. They seem like things real people might actually do, and they never cross the line into deal-breaker territory. I really like how they end up thinking things through like adults when there are misunderstandings, unlike many of these books. Supporting characters are all fun and well developed. Slightly OTT caper, but I didn't care. One of my faves!

i am not a fan of audiobook. i love the mystery and adventure in imagining the voices of the book's characters, and its distracting if a storyteller is reading the dialogues. could you help me find the book version of these? thank you.
