- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a curious, enchanting book: cowritten by two lifelong friends, one confined to a wheelchair and and almost dependent on others and one who willingly makes extraordinary efforts to share experiences and a particular adventure with his friend. These two men plan and manage to walk the full length of the Camino de Santiago from the French Pyrenees to Compostela in northwestern Spain. Along the way, each tells the story of his life and their friendship. Their mutual love is remarkable, and remarkably is supported by their respective families and other friends.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just a lovely book to read and absorb---an incredible friendship that is almost hard to believe except that you have two human beings who can explain it fairly well. Although they add God into their writing, the real "religion" here is a "friendship religion"---between Patrick and Justin but also along the way as they gather helpers.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I had the wonderful privilege of hearing these men speak at our church. I couldn't wait to read the book and learn more about their adventure. For me this book was a great read, but so much more.I found it emotional from the very beginning. It's such a good story of love between two friends that has lasted a life time. The commitment that few are willing to make along with the trip and challenge of a life time. This is a must read. I can't wait for the Documentary to come out November 2nd.
