About this audiobook

Kelly and Megan could not be happier for their friend Allison Dubois-a young, talented, up-and-coming artist. Invited by a designer to join her New York studio, Allison is about to embark on a new life. But when Kelly and Megan arrive at Allison's apartment to drive her to the airport, they find her dead on the floor, apparently from an overdose of sleeping pills. The police suspect suicide, but Kelly and Megan aren't convinced.

Soon Kelly discovers that while Allison's career was on the fast-track, her social life was a mess. A bad news boyfriend, a jealous design student, and a mysterious man named Brian are all prime suspects in Kelly's book. Now it's up to Kelly and her crafty friends from the House of Lambspun to unravel this tightly stitched puzzle . . .

To me, this book started out really slowly. Maybe it is because I didn't read the other books in the series, but the characters seemed flat, especially at first when it was difficult to tell (or possibly care) who was who.

After about 70 pages, I finally started getting into the plot. I figured out who was guilty as soon as the character was introduced. But since it is a 'cozy', that didn't bother me too much.

Overall, an enoyable read once the characters started to show some personality.

A friend of Kelly’s is moving from Colorado to New York to further her artist career, but on the morning another friend, Megan, is supposed to pick her up to get her to the airport, she is found dead. Kelly and Megan begin sleuthing to find out who killed Allison (though Kelly has been warned against sticking her nose in before!). It was ok. A quick read. I think this is where I’ll stop with this series, though. The mystery was fine for me, but I was quite bored with Kelly’s personal issues/decisions/life. I thought the author did a nice job with her descriptions of Colorado, though. There are plenty of cozy mysteries out there, but this series has lost my interest.

Even better than the first two. Feels like a real mystery and the personal stuff progress slowly but consistently from the previous books

Kelly Flynn, a novice knitter is very happy that a gifted artist in the texture and cloth field has been invited to New York. Alison Dubois has been excited by this opportunity but never lives to see her dreams realized. She is murdered before she leaves and the police consider her deayh to be a suicide.

Kelly and her friend Megan take up the search for the killer. Cute story.

A charming cozy murder mystery with a sharp and inqusitive CPA cum alpaca and sheep rancher for its heroine. This is the 3rd book of a series of knitting mysteries and is as delightful as its predecessors. The alpine views of a Colorado fall are beautifully rendered in all their glorious colors just as the rich hues of freshly spun and dyed yarns are vividly described. Not a book easily put down.

Love this series. Hardly a deep, involved read, but a perfect cozy cast of characters and fun mystery plot to enjoy over coffee :-)

Kelly Flynn, while still battling through her sweater in the round, helps Allison Dubois get ready to move to New York to begin her career in design. When she and Megan go to her apartment to take her to the airport, they find that she had died of an apparent suicide. Kelly and Megan aren't convinced that it is suicide and begin their own investigation. While Allison's career had been moving forward, her social life was in turmoil. Complete with a violent boyfriend, a jealous design student, and a mysterious man named Brian, Kelly and Megan decide that she had to have been murdered. It took only a short time to convince the police they were right. After a trip to Denver they feel they had met the murderer and begin to work at proving it. Now about that sweater......

I guessed the killer from very early on in the story.. But you know what? When a series is THIS good it just doesn't seem to matter all that much! The characters are written so well that I feel like I actually know these people.. And I just love the relationships and friendships as well. :)

Third in the Maggie Sefton knitting mysteries series. The characters are starting to seem repetitive (not a good sign!), and the yarn porn was at a minimum this time around. I'll be reading the next one eventually, but it's now at the bottom of the queue.

This is a nice cosy mystery. At it's heart is a knitting shop where many of the main characters meet and talk. You can see how many of them care for each other and want things to work for each other and for those associated with them. This time the murder is of an up-and-coming designer. The clues are very obvious and the tension nearly non-existent. It's a sweet look at the main characters lives and the murder is only a very small part of the story, in fact the murder feels like an add-on.

This murder mystery falls in the basic sleuthing category. The ending is pretty much given away half-way through the book and the clues are obvious. The book is as much about the murder as it is about the heroine's life: corporate accounts, knitting and her friends. Not much substance but a pleasant read.
