About this audiobook

Julie Greene loves flings. Loves steamy first dates, sizzling first kisses, and every now and then, that first sexy romp between the sheets. Comfy pants, sleepy Sundays, movie nights on the couch? Shudder. But when Julie gets assigned the hardest story of her career-a first-person account of that magical shift between dating and "I do"-she'll need a man brave enough to give a total commitment-phobe a chance at more.

Normally, Mitchell Forbes would be exactly that man. A devastatingly hot workaholic who tends to stay in relationships for far too long, he should be the perfect subject for Julie's "research." But what Julie doesn't know is that Mitchell is looking to cut loose for once in his life. And the leggy journalist notorious for avoiding love is exactly the type of no-strings fling he's looking for. In other words, Mitchell is the polar opposite of what Julie needs right now. And, at the same time, he's exactly what she wants.

Contains mature themes.

FOUR STARS- Introductory blurb has a good description.Samantha Cook did a good job; however, the addition of a male narrator would have made the male characters' voices more convincing.I enjoyed it.

This book was about two complex individuals coming together in extraordinary circumstances and fighting to be together.

    Oh no. No, it isn't.
Julie's sassy and lonely, vulnerable under her exterior. She's a serial dater, a relationship neophyte.
Mitchell's boring and perfect. He's got dimples and glasses, and beautiful eyes. He's serial monogamist, looking for Mrs. Right.

Somehow they overcome a ridiculous bet to fuck her and leave her and a story to "be in a relationship instead of just dating." GASP! IT works.

I didn't object to the book, really. It was just boring and I'll forget it by tomorrow night.

At first I thought the premise was like high school but once it got going it turned into an interesting story. I liked how the romance evolved and the characters angst seemed real. Magazine writer Julie is given an assignment about taking relationship to next level and she chooses to try it with 'wall street man' Mitchell.

If you ever saw 'How to lose a guy in 10 days', then this story is not going to be that different from this one here. Despite all that, I think the writer still managed to put some good twists in there and the characters chemistry was really, really good. I even cried a little. :)

Stiletto Magazine is a must read for young, single, beautiful people in New York City. Julie Green is a well known columnist in the Daring, Love and Sex department, along with her best friends, Grace Brighton and Riley McKenna . Each is known for their own slant on love and dating. Julie handles the hearts and flowers get to the first date , Grace is their relationship guru, and Riley handles the sex aspect. A meeting with her boss Camille has rocked Julie's perfect world. It is an assignment from her boss to write a column about "taking it to the next level." Julie doesn't do relationships. She likes the first kiss, some other firsts, and then saying goodby. Camille won't take no for an answer on this assignment. Julie feels this story is a make or break for her career, so she immediately contacts Grace and Riley for help. Three devious minds work so much better than one!Mitchell Forbes works on Wall Street, is known as a workaholic, and just ended a long relationship with a very popular senator's daughter. He is putting in time at a fund raiser, chatting with an office friend. The subject of Mitch's boring dating record is brought up. Colin his friend, dares Mitch to, for once, have a fling. Five dates and goodby. Seems simple! The pot becomes sweeter when Colin offers half of his season tickets to the Yankees. Now, this is a bet worth winning! Colin points across the room to Julie Green, the Stilleto star. Julie glances up and sees a tall, good looking guy, wearing glasses, and obviously Wall Street.Perfect for her article! Let the games begin! This novel was a lot of fun to read. Manhattan is portrayed in it's usual glamorous, glitzy fashion. Beautiful people, meeting at the best places. Julie and Mitch start out playing the game they signed up for, but in the middle, the game changes. Neither one expected honest feelings to work their way into the equation. The characters are a bit ditzy, but enjoyable. Secrets, even with the best intentions, have a way of opening up. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy stories about the fun and adventure of big city life, and of course, fans of Sex in the City.I received this ARC from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.K
