About this audiobook
A witty and emotionally charged novel that delves into the heart of a marriage, and how those we love and think we know best can sometimes surprise us the most—from #1 New York Times bestselling author Sophie Kinsella
After ten years together, Sylvie and Dan have a comfortable home, fulfilling jobs, and beautiful twin girls, and they communicate so seamlessly they finish each other's sentences. They have a happy marriage and believe they know everything there is to know about each other. Until it's casually mentioned to them that they could be together for another sixty-eight years . . . and panic sets in.
They decide to bring surprises into their marriage to keep it fresh and fun. But in their pursuit of Project Surprise Me—from unexpected gifts to restaurant dates to sexy photo shoots—mishaps arise, with disastrous and comical results. Gradually, surprises turn to shocking truths. And when a scandal from the past is uncovered, they begin to wonder if they ever really knew each other at all.
With a colorful cast of eccentric characters, razor-sharp observations, and her signature wit and charm, Sophie Kinsella presents a humorous yet moving portrait of a marriage—its intricacies, comforts, and complications. Surprise Me reveals that hidden layers in a close relationship are often yet to be discovered.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was slow to start and then it really drew me in. I enjoyed it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was a little bit more serious of a book then I had anticipated, but a very heartwarming story. Also, just like with all her books, her characters were charming and you wish you could meet and spend time with them.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5very sweet and humorous book. first few chapters a little slow, but then picks up
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Didn't make it past chapter 5. The whole premise of this book is based on a couple who is freaked out because a Dr. told them that they, the main couple, will live long lives, and will therefore have 68 more years of marriage left. It's a pretty weak plot and I had a hard time getting into the story. About the only saving grace is the audio book reader. She is phenomenal...and the only reason I started the book in the first place.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Meh. still better than her previous novel, "my not so perfect life".

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It is very rare that I cannot stand to finish a book. Or a TV show, movie, you name it. I always have this shining hope that things will get better. So the fact that I did finally give up on this one - and I usually *love* Sophie Kinsella books - was a big deal. It didn't ever go anywhere, just meandered 'til I remembered "Hey, I don't have to finish this! YAY!" I see that others also found it slow to get going, but if you're halfway in? It should be going. Disappointing .
