      I wanted to like this book, but I found it annoying. I really got into part one, but part two and three were not great. Reading it was like juggling balls and constantly waiting for one to drop so the pain of continuing would end. The only character I liked was the dog, Peggy. 2/5 stars

      This book just made me very angry. Each character kept declaring how much they loved the others , then turned around and did the most hurtful things, and lied to the one they loved so much. Just not a pleasant book at allow

      A constant and slowly growing tension throughout the whole book. Even when the book is finished, I am still playing the what ifs in my head.

      This book dragged on! I got tired of the protagonist ten minutes in. His reaction to stressful situations become so obviously predictable. I figured out the ending half way through the book. Moral of the story: don't be quick to make assumptions. Also, the stupid Russian dolls gahhhasjdhhdjfjfjfn!!!

      This is the second book I listened to by B. A. Paris. The narrator's were both very good. I really liked Fin and I don't want to leave any spoilers but I would have liked a different ending for him. I was also glad nothing bad happened to Peggy because I am very sensitive about animals. From what little I know about the author she is an animal lover too and I like how she includes cats and dogs into her stories. I am really hooked on this author, sometimes you can see where she is going with the story but it never spoils the "big reveal".

      So bad, such a dumb premise. The characters are so annoying and if they mention ‘Russian Doll’ one more time ?‍♀️. Just no. And the ending? No. Don’t waste your time.

      ? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 My second B.A. Paris book. Once again I loved it. For me I got a little bored with it. Towards the middle. Then it picked back up. Inways say I'm good about figuring out the end of a book before the middle. However this one had me guessing. ?

      Narration: I really liked the cadence of the narrators speech pattern. As an American, I sometimes have a hard time understanding a thick British or Irish accent but I had no trouble here.

      Story: Very well written, I had to listen again to the last two chapters make sure I got all the details.

      *SPOILER: I love at end that he doubts his love for her. It’s like, why did he bother?

      Very confusing…I had to listen to the ending a couple of times to figure out what happened … once I got it I thought it was an impossible story line and this story could not happen in a modern world…but I realized it’s fiction and anything can happen so I just went with it understood it and accepted it.
      Narration was excellent which also makes a lame story better and pleasant to listen to. If not for the terrific narrators I would not have taken the time to understand the story.

      The story is full with twists and mystery that I could wait to finish the story.
      But I have to applaud the exquisite narrative of this book. It keep the mood and thrills of it.
