HE LOVES YOU: Adam adores Emily. Emily thinks Adam’s perfect, the man she thought she’d never meet.

BUT SHE LOVES YOU NOT:
Lurking in the shadows is a rival, a woman who shares a deep bond with the man she loves.

AND SHE'LL STOP AT NOTHING:
Emily chose Adam, but she didn’t choose his mother Pammie. There’s nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants: Emily gone forever.

THE OTHER WOMAN will have you questioning her in every chapter.

The middle is intentionally mediocre and the end is worth sticking around for.

The book itself is alright - though it took a little too long to get moving. I almost lost interest multiple times early on, but I continued because of the good reviews and the description as a “thriller.” It was alright in the end, though a little abrupt.
My chief complaint is that the narration is just awful. That voice! When she’s reading from a woman’s POV, it isn’t terrible, but when the narrator puts on her “man” voice, it is dreadful!

Great narrator who kept me listening long past the point I would have closed the book.
    As for the story itself?
Yuck yuck yuck! It started off so strong but slowly fell further and further off the rails until I kept wondering what in the hell I was reading. Awful characters, beyond moronic protagonist and “twists” that you already saw coming but will stay make you want to throw your phone at the wall.
Ugh, this put me in a bad mood.

Boy oh boy, not sure how to write this review as I am quite annoyed. When it got to the last 14 chapters I started to see where it was going and indeed I was right. A lot of the premise of this story once you get to the twist is really ridiculous. Also, I thought all along that Adam was an incredible wanker. Emily goes on about how much she loves him but why? They don't even seem to have much of a relationship other than sex and even their sex is not always reliable. I am glad this was a short story and it was wonderfully narrated but man this book is leaving me with a burning pit in my gut. I am just so irritated with the whole book now that it's finished. The best take away from this story is, girls make sure you know what you are getting into when you fall in love. Emily should be wearing a big dunce cap and god help poor little Poppy!

The ending is great, but it’s not worth reading the whole book for. It was very predictable and non-imaginative up until the last 20 pages.

Okay I was skeptical about this book at first. Literally a book of "cat and mouse" back and forth throughout the book. Interesting enough to keep me going until the ending. The ending part of the book had me like what. How can a mother cover up for her son for so long that it becomes chaotic. There's no way I could cover up my child after he kills someone. Then you act crazy over his girlfriend and not tell her what is going on or what has happened in the past. Overall an okay read.

I thought the ending was good, but most of the time I wasn’t super excited to keep reading. I felt like the characters were pretty illogical and it was hard yo believe their situation.
