About this audiobook

Most men can’t handle Hazel. But her best friend Josh isn’t most men. Don’t miss New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren’s new novel about two people who are definitely not dating…no matter how often they end up in bed together.

Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun.

Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.

Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them...right?

Interesting plot but I CANT STAND THE GUY NARRATOR’S VOICE ? Especially when he’s doing a “woman’s” voice. It’s so cringe!

Loved this! The only thing was josh’s version of girls voices was a little annoying.
The dramatic turn at the end I don’t think was needed I feel like it should of stayed fun loving like it had been the whole time.

Nice story, I liked it. Only male narrator did bad interpretation of a female voice, it just felt awful!

Loved this story, but the male audio was SO cringy. It might have been a 5 star, but his voice was hard to get past.

This is a nice book. Very engaging. Loved every single character. The loveamaking scenes are a little draggy I feel. And the 'girl' voice during josh's narration is a little weird. Sounds like he's trying to make voice or a kid instead of a grown woman. But I still liked the story. Maybe next time I'll read the book instead of listening to the audio

This was the perfect feel good, rom-com that I needed this week. I love Josh and Hazel, they are the best friends to lovers couple. I felt so happy reading about their blind date adventures and I won't be forgetting this book anytime soon.

The book itself is a quirky easy read. However, the male narrator’s impression of Hazel is awful and super distracting.

Super cute story. 3.75 stars rounded up to a 4! I loved the characters and I’m a sucker for a friends to lovers trope. I found myself smiling throughout the story ? The only downside of the audiobook was the male narrator. His voices for female characters were painful to listen to and overall his voice just wasn’t the right fit for Josh’s character IMO.

Good story, though I wasn’t crazy about the male narrator.

loved the story. The male narrator's "female" voice was sooo annoying and took away from the audiobook- made her sound like a complete fool, whereas the female narrator gave her a totally different more realistic vibe! why male narrators have to do a baby/dingbat voice when voicing women is beyond me! I'll be avoiding any other books narrated by him.

I loved this story! The female lead voice sounds like Julia Roberts and she’s so easy to listen to. The male reader lead is awful. So if that is a deal breaker for you, skip this book.

Sorry couldn’t even get a 1/4 of the way through. Hazel is just not believable and is a vapid idiot. I like josh but hazel is awful and I couldn’t keep going. Save your time.

The story line was great, I really enjoyed it. Spots of humor gave me a chuckle every now and then. Only thing I wasnt a fan of was the male e-book reader's "female" voice, it really threw me off. Other than that I really enjoyed this book.

Trite. Utterly obvious and so no hook. I didn't connect with the characters; no depth. I read till chapter eleven and quite.

Loved the story. But the male narrator was awful, made me wish I would have just read it myself. His voices alone are the reason I rated it lower the story itself was 5 stars.

I think this was the best one yet! Good narrators make it even better. I was looking for something light but with a decent story - it did not disappoint.

Love the story, Hazel’s characters was amazing, eccentric, wild, with a huge heart. Josh was the cutest, quite and calm. The love story was cute.

Easy read, comical read, melancholic read. I absolutely loved it. It made me laugh like hell, it crunched my heart, I saw myself in the story more than a couple of times, went back to laughter, eagerness, I giggled, crashed... o man!!! It was a loooovely ride!

It was ok but kinda cheesy. Ending was predictable. I usually like romance books that have more to the plot than the romance but this did not.
