About this audiobook

Nayna Sharma agreed to an arranged marriage in the hope it would heal the fractures in her beloved family . . . only to realize too late that a traditional marriage is her personal nightmare. Panicked, she throws caution to the winds, puts on the tiniest dress she can find, and ends up in the arms of a tall, rough-edged hunk of a man who has abs of steel-and who she manages to mortally insult between one kiss and the next.

Abandoned as a child, then adopted into a loving family, Raj Sen believes in tradition, in continuity. Some might call him stiff and old-fashioned, but he knows what he wants-and it's a life defined by rules . . . yet he can't stop thinking about the infuriating and sexy woman who kissed him in the moonlight then disappeared. When his parents spring an introduction on him, the last woman he expects is her. Beautiful. Maddening. A rule breaker in the making.

He's all wrong for her. She's all wrong for him. And love is about to make rebels of them both.

Contains mature themes.

So good. Such a relatable honest romance set in NZ amidst the every present drama of an Indian family. Sweet & funny.

    Fun read review to come

The second book in the series is just as fun as the first one. There is some repeating of events from the first book but they are all through the eyes of different characters. Nayna is the dutiful younger daughter that has followed all the rules since her older sister broke all of them and ran off with a married man at 19. She agrees to an arraigned marriage since that worked out well for her parents. But that isn’t working out either since the men she is meeting are bores. After deciding to throw caution to the wind she kisses a man she doesn’t know and then accidently insults him he turns out to be the next guy her parents introduce to her. Lots of family drama on both sides keep the story interesting and the expectations of culture vs doing what feels right is threaded throughout the entire book. A good read and I have to say I enjoy these as much as her fantasy series.

I really enjoyed this. It's very sweet and romantic, but has a satisfying amount of emotion, steam and drama too. I loved the characters, and the New Zealand setting and Indian cultural aspects made for a refreshing change from most romances. This is contemporary romance at its finest with a decided taste of rom-com and Bollywood.I received my copy through NetGalley. My review is my honest opinion.

Another wonderful Nalini Singh book. This time Nalini's characters are coming from somewhat traditional Indian families. Fueld by stubbornness drama never ends. I don't like reading Bollywood dramas but this one had enough Nalini Singh characteristics that I could enjoy it. She builds characters with multiple layers and faces so that their feelings become palpable. Sometimes they do the same mistakes as me and then they become perfect to read.
