About this audiobook
Enter Catch Xavier Moon, a dangerous criminal. He's hot and sexy and his world is crime, drugs, and women. Not exactly a combination to turn me on. Now, people I thought of as friends are trying to kill me. Maybe I'm in over my head or maybe not, but Moon isn't the man I want in my life and his stubborn sexiness has no bearing on the trouble I'm in. Or does it?
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is a very misleading title. Nothin hot about this novel. Its a crime drama.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lilly a young women goes back to her home town. She connects with her best friend Tabithia, and her brother. Her brother, Daniel, is tall, raven haired, hunk with glowing blue eyes, and he ride in to the story on his Harley. Oh, if that isn't enough to sell you on him, he has a southern drawl. Sparks fly, she get trapped in his world. He life turns upside down, everything changes. Lots of action, mystery and some really interesting facts are revealed throughout the story.
The flow is a bit jumbled at times, some stark jumps had me trying to figure out where I was in the story. I found myself really enjoying this story and i already bought the next two stories. i love reading new authors, new ideas. I will stick with this author I can't wait to se how she will grow with her craft. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I liked the idea of this book in the beginning. Once I knew that the werewolves could pull the will away from the females, I didn't like it. This book also seemed very dark. I'm not sure I will read the other books. Not impressed.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I'm sorry, but I found this book boring. So boring in fact that even with all that was going on with the story and plot, I had to quit reading it. I simply didn't like anyone in the book! The best friend is a selfish bitch, the heroine is uninteresting, the hero is a jackass. And actually, the only one I was remotely interested in by 60% of the book was the bad guy, and I didn't even like him all that much! So, after 66% I gave up and started a new book.
I feel badly about giving it two stars, the author was really trying to be interesting and unique and create a vibrant world.
But I just wasn't feeling it at all. And when I realized I was pretty disgusted by everyone I finally just gave up on it. I won't be reading anymore from this author. Tepid, irritating, and over-the-top plots and writing. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a pretty decent novel. It pulled me in from the begging, though there were some slow and/or under developed points, I enjoyed the story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/53.5 Stars for "The Heat"This is my third book by this author, the others being "Hell Bent" & "The Chosen". I think she writes a good story but somehow so far hasn't totally satisfied me but I'm still persevering. I admit to buying her books due to the low price but also based on the reviews. "The Heat" had very, very many 5 star reviews and a few very bad reviews. I ended up somewhere in the middle. I liked the strong characters, the alpha werewolves being their stereotypical arrogant, brutal selves like most of the genre. There were a few new twists and turns to their mythology which was well done. As in the other HKW books I've read, the action scenes are very suspensefully written and the sex steamy. Along with other Amazon reviewers, I wonder why there are so many typos, misplaced words and grammatical problems with Kindle books generally? Why can't they be edited properly? Is this the author's fault? The errors can distract you from the story quite easily. While there are other paranormal romances I've enjoyed more than this one, I will go on to read the rest of the series. It's not as bad as some of the reviewers say and there is certainly something that still attracts me to this author.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Lily's come home to Baton Rouge for the first time in ten years. Almost immediately, she finds herself again lusting after her high school crush. He, of course, has been in love with her the whole time. There's also another guy or two more than just interested in Lily. You never see how the characters feel and think- the author just kind of tells you in a completely dispassionate way. One of many reasons I found this book decidedly disappointing. There's a dozen or two more characters that are completely superfluous and add nothing that just kind of hang out taking up space in the story. Even the main characters come off flat and rather predictably annoying. The plot is repetitive and equally annoying. I've always had a weakness for werewolf stories, but this fell far short. What we find out about werewolves in this story seems rather thrown together rather carelessly. I found myself literally rolling my eyes at the story, and wondering why I was really bothering to finish it.
