About this audiobook

The trip of a lifetime!

Rosie Lewis has her life together.

A swanky job as a Michelin-starred Sous Chef, a loving husband and future children scheduled for an exact date.

That’s until she comes home one day to find her husband’s pre-packed bag and a confession that he's had an affair.

Heartbroken and devastated, Rosie drowns her sorrows in a glass (or three) of wine, only to discover the following morning that she has spontaneously invested in a bright pink campervan to facilitate her grand plans to travel the country.

Now, Rosie is about to embark on the trip of a lifetime, and the chance to change her life! With Poppy, her new-found travelling tea shop in tow, nothing could go wrong, could it…?

A laugh-out-loud novel of love, friendship and adventure! Perfect for fans of Debbie Johnson and Holly Martin.

I loved the story and enjoyed the reader’s voice, but found the way she pulled the ends of her words out very irritating.

I had to stop listening around Chapter 7. The main character's constant obsession with anything and everything drove me nuts. Good idea for a story - maybe the obsessiveness was on purpose. It was just too much for me.

I love Rosie and Aria and Max and Ollie. I actually wish that there were more stories and details from their time on the road. The author does such a great job describing them and their experiences at festivals and their time jumps in between events that I just want to fill in. I'm excited to see that there is another book exploring Aria. The two of them have such a great friendship which is so nice to see in a romance, that the friends are not just background dressing but actually are important parts of the characters lives.

I adored this book! The main character of Rosie was so beautifully developed! I found myself falling in love with the notion of taking to the road and becoming a 'van-lifer'!

So much of this book is written in a warm and comforting tone. I loved snuggling up and reading this, not being able to put it down. If you are looking for a pick me up type read, this is one I would highly recommend.

I received this book as a gift or I would not have read it since it's far outside my interests, but it really was quite an awful book. Insipid and silly with a protagonist that acted more like she was 16 not late twenties. I liked the idea of the travelling tea house and the places that Rosie went with her fuchsia pink van called Poppy. But the book was rushed in places where more explanations and back story were needed and went on endlessly with nonsensical thinking on Rosie's part (and she is a silly, naive girl who I tired of very quickly.) Not my genre. Not my thing at all. Don't waste your time. For such a short book, it took me forever to finish it.

Delightfully funny, refreshing and clever, this story of travel and self discovery will warm your heart. Rosie and her new friends are a colorful and lively bunch of characters! I enjoyed riding along with this group of vagabonds - sharing in their adventures (and pitfalls) of life, friendship, and romance. It was the perfect escape for a blustery, snowy, can't-go-anywhere day.I'm looking forward to the next "Van Lifers" journey with these wonderful travelers!
